just finished reading the entire dev blog sequence myself. I've noticed how 'fluid' they are with their decisions, so while this is their current tack, I wouldn't bet on that staying.

- How long have you played Eve? These things will be killed in high sec for the laughs. If there was a Citadel that had the Jita market in it, you bet your isk that one of the larger null groups would destroy it within a week. My evidence to support this is "Burn Jita". As for not making sense, that describes 90% of high sec war decs. If tears can be harvested from this, it will be done.

I think you missed the first sentence. That kind of activity is what I would classify as "Making a Statement". However...

After reading the dev blogs, it looks like no capture is going to be possible, only destruction. I find that very disheartening and quite a departure from previous large sovereign rules where you could capture something. Their Entosis system fizzled on them and that would've allowed capture, now it's "just blow it up". So your point is valid, only now it appears the devs are just blowing things up for laughs. Citadels are essentially immobile Titans with special rules by my new take on them.

Yup, that's kind of what I had heard and was vaguely addressing, now that it's in the dev blogs, it has some teeth.

For that to happen, it would have to be in the Citadel thread and much of this was in there and is covered in the Dev blogs. This entire thread is essentially covered by the dev blogs so they'd likely ignore it.

Again, none of this is real yet, so we can't actually see what the issues truly are (it's something of vaporware from the non-test playing player side at the moment). They put in the dev blogs themselves a giant "WIP" (Work in Progress) image and that will probably apply for a year or two until they see how it actually gets used in gameplay and deployed by players. So, I'm not sure a lot of hand wringing about the details is useful yet. Thus my comment to wait 'till we see something then give constructive advice. However, if that's your style, go for it. It happens to chafe my hands, even with lotion so I'll avoid it. Lol
