EVE Fiction

Hello All,

I just wanted to request that the Evelopedia be given a serious update to bring it in line with in game fiction events.

Whilst this may seem of little value to an engaged player base that is paying attention it is a tool that can encourage RP gameplay and also it is a tool for attracting new players.

My own personal experience had me checking out the Evelopedia long before I made the decision to subscribe to try and research what universe I would be playing in. Whilst I did eventually 'take the plunge' and join, having a broadly out of date Encyclopedia of EVE subtlety reinforces the notion that EVE is an old and dying MMO. It is much more likely any potential new players will find the Evelopedia long before they find any of the websites that provide in game up to date news and commentary.

If the layout can be changed to show a stream of events that can also help with attracting new players that would be great.

An additional idea would be to find a way to incentivise player corps/alliances to update their own Evelopedia entries that would also be valuable as it is another place I checked before joining.

As a minor example the closest thing to recent events mentioned in the Evelopedia for the Amarr Empire is the attack and defeat of the Minmatar Elder Fleet!
