Actually, doing those events in low or null does make sense.

Some people have issues getting into highsec due to their somewhat odd standings toward empire and/or concord.

But nothing stops us highsec pubbies to hit low or null to gave some fun.

Well at least if we can plan for and accept the losses ;)

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

Hey the CCP Fleet was epic! For me it was a first seeing so many people active in the implementation of game mechanics so willing to take on the player base. What a laugh!

Gotta ask, anyone end up like Pirkotan?

All for a merry christmas - I take much joy in CCP actively fighting against players...
Nice to have such events - hopefully you run into many of the challenges the players do to give you better insight.

Very special thanks to those who helped develop the CCP Defense fleet. While the first day was a bit of a fail, I think we made progress in the next few events. Hopefully for any future PvP live event, we can have some system in place to get you guys to truly fight alongside us.

To the people I fought with, thanks!
To the people I was killed by....thanks too :) Had a lot of fun.

Indeed CCP Paradox, it was a blast. So was getting alphed the first time by the fleet. Crazy good times.

Although, I've got to ask. How did you get separated from your fleet?

Fly deadly.

Continue to do it. It's unique and something that really can only be done in this game.

The only suggestion I have is that CCP Alliance actually start to function and act as one. Don't stop with simply roaming. Keep at what you're doing and go full force with it.

-Use your sov space
-Grind the isk up to buy your ships
-Build or purchase your ships. You guys need to see how the manufacturing is in EVE.
-Run moon reactions to generate an income.
-Create a reimbursement program and try to find ways to keep CCP alliance floating and it's member base happy.

etc. etc. etc...

Basically, play the game so you can experience our frustrations first hand.

Disagree on the grinding, sov, building and what not...
Why should they waste dev time on that? Some of them already play the game in their alliances, leave it at that.

But it's a good thing they're doing these events (and it should be just that, EVENTS), let's hope they continue to do so (and I might finally be there when it happens next time ;)

This isn't a waste of Dev's time if they're making use of game mechanics in the manner which we do on a daily basis.

There are things we do every day that annoy the **** out of us such as manufacturing and standings changing, declaring war, setting up POS's... the things we do all the time that are just plain broken. They won't realize how broken they are unless they also use them on a daily basis and experience it first hand. When was the last time you tried applying for an alliance. Or better yet, try setting standings for one. "Can someone link someone from that alliance for me"... or the dreaded "Rankings List".

Not to mention, devs don't "work" 24/7, they have off time where they could "play" EVE in the CCP Alliance to imitate how we play. If they understand how keeping reaction chains alive, fueling many pos's for production and research is a headache for much of EVE, potentially they'll come up with ideas on how to improve iit.

Seriously, if they started to learn how to maintain a wallet, an income, a ship replacement program, recruitment, production to the extent of importing minerals to help field ships and learn why many aspects of null are still so heavily reliant on Jita.

They need to see this stuff first hand in order to really understand how bad so many of the game mechanics and day to day functionality is.

I did not manage to take part in these events, but CCP playing their game is a really good sign.

I hope you manage to run these events regularly, possibly every weekend, possibly in small gangs instead of a somewhat large fleet.

Keep up the good work!

P.S.: there are rumors about the CCP fleet shooting the pro-CCP player fleet. Is that true?

Player defense fleets were asked to stay away from the bulk CCP fleet as they had no way to tell who was hostile or not. No actual defense *fleets* were destroyed by CCP, but some stragglers warped in to see what CCP was up to and were instantly locked and shot.

I JUST WANTED THOSE KILL MAILS!!!!

Time to develop a CCP killboard imo.

flown with the defensive fleet on the Gallente event. Had fun, even survived (ok a interceptor has good chances in case of total fleet destruction). The most important thing, the devs took their spare time (like we) to play a game and found it out to be nice. So you Devs see you made good work, keep it up and do contribute to what we all like most....fighting and flying. and see, the microtransaction part had littele to do with the fun we had these evenings, or? ;) keep enjoy "our" game
