Steam authentication failure for client and eveonline.com

After DT today, I was unable to log into EVE with my main via the steam client. Rather than having the Steam credential mask completed, I received the normal launcher failure for incorrect login credentials.

The issue seems to be more widespread than that, however, when I tried to log into the forums and my account portal via Steam and received the same error.

As of this writing I cannot access the client with my main or even log in to the website to submit a ticket with the effected account.

HELP!

Yikes. I assumed the problem was widespread, but wow. This may be the final straw that pushes me to transfer all of those characters to a genuine EVE account. It seems as if every couple of months, there is some catastrophic Steam client event.

I have been searching for a solution like this for some time. I wish I would have found it sooner.
