I would love to own a POS on grid with a station, walk out to the viewing deck, and gaze at the traffic and the stars.

Yes you did. it is literally the only question raised in your OP.

As everyone has pointed out, it doesn't actually do so. Since you don't have a POS, you are probably not familiar enough with how these things work, but those of us who do and are have shared our knowledge and experience with you to explain why the problem you think exist is no more a problem now than it was before.

It has been mentioned and it turns out it doesn't affect the playing field in the slightest for all the obvious reasons: because no-one will get the idea of attacking a POS just from seeing it — if they're after a given POS or corp or type of target, they will find exactly that irrespective of where the POS has been placed.

if your moon is not R64 or even R32 then relax your POS is relatively safe.
