making some enriched uranium and since theres only one plasma planet in my area would it be better to setup 1 colony ona lava for toxic and 1 on barren/plasma for noble then transfer to a building only planet or just make it on the plasma planet and use my free planet to just make something else?

Taking effort and taxes into account, this sounds like the worst idea ever. Just be glad you can make Enriched Uranium on a single plasma planet and go search for a good one.

Also yeah, use that other planet for something else. P

Personally I use two planets for extracting noble metals>precious metals, two for extracting heavy metals>toxic metals, and one for making enriched uranium from the two. Of course I'm in null, so I'm able to extract quite a bit of materials. If you're living in high, then I'd say your best bet would be to run a factory planet and buy the inputs since the amount available on high sec planets is so low. Of course you'd need to run numbers to see profitability for that.

Exporting and importing P1 works if your alliance or corporation owns the POCO but taxes will probably eat up your profit otherwise. You can use dotlan to find plasma planets - the planets in Lonetrek for example: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Lonetrek#plasma
