Hey everyone I just want to share a solution to a broken launcher on linux. Recently my launcher has just been a white box, and having recently installed EVE again, it seems like the file structure is different than the old installation file and I can't seem to bypass the launcher with a direct eve.exe file. However I recently found out that CCP offers a "windows XP" version of their launcher and install, which contained the old file structure and allowed me to directly launch eve from the file system once again with the "evefile.exe".

I have tried a bunch of fixes from this forum and wine's website; including changing wine versions, adding an environment variable, and messing with wine tricks. So far using the XP version has been my band-aid until I can actually resolve the issue. I hope someone finds this helpful.

It's actually on the regular EVE download page, it's just a bit further down. You don't have to uninstall EVE to use it either, it creates a different structure in your file system so nothing is overridden, however this does mean you will have to redo your overview and other settings.
