I am very new to CREST, REST api's, api's in general, and web-stuff all around, so mind the failure.

For the last couple days I have been playing around with CREST in python and everything was working fine. Suddenly I am getting blank responses to any and all CREST requests. I know there is a rate limit, but there is no way I hit it, as I was not pulling excessive data from the servers. Only a couple requests every few seconds while running test code. Did I do something wrong? Was my access revoked? (Do they even do that for public CREST?) Is the API just DOWN? I dont think it is, since I am not getting any errors, and incorrect URL's give me the proper json error response, so the api is working.

Anyone who can shed some light on this please help, and thanks in advance.

Edit: The public CREST api is now seeminly completely down and no longer sending blank responses.

Edit2: Everything seems to be working now, thanks CCP

So likely then it's something on CCP's end. That's Good/Bad. At least it's not my problem, I'm sure someone on their end is already aware and fixing it. Thanks for the verification.

Fun times. Sorry about that! We know what happened and are working on making sure it doesn't happen again.

I'm sure CCP is aware of this, but in case not:

public-crest.eveonline.com is seriously messed up again. Data comes through, but extremely slow.

It behaves a bit like when OP created this thread yesterday. After that, public-crest.eveonline.com went down, came back up and worked at normal speeds for a while, then slowly getting worse and now data transfer is around 10 times slower than normal.

It -is- your problem, but you aren't the one to blame =)

Aware of the issue and been working on a fix. Possibly a hardware issue, not sure and still debugging.

At first, I believed that just https://public-crest.eveonline.com/industry/systems/ was broken as it has the biggest response size of all the endpoints. But others like https://public-crest.eveonline.com/market/regionId/types/itemRef/history/ are also very slow.

I am also experiencing slow responses and timeouts with the killmails endpoint.
