Never have piloted a Rohk. In the past, went with Raven. Not disappointed.

Let's Rohk!

a vote for Rohk

a 5-pack of light drones, MJD, Antimatter/Uranium/Thorium charges and 30 km separation distance solves most any problem Big smile

If your skills are exclusively turret based, and you intend to stay that way, then Rokh.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Raven. Range + missiles = easy mode.

But be sure this is where you want to invest your skills though. Missile PVE doesn't translate well to PVP if that may ever interest you.

Rohks are great PVP boats with other Rohks (cap chaining, remote reps, discoball) and are OK Incursion boats.

IMHO, Sentry Dominix is the most efficient Lvl IV mission runner I have ever used. Even if you can only use T1 sentries (use faction sentries until u get in to T2) this is a great mission boat.

All that said, if your goal is a Golem then by all means... But if you do go sentry-domi route, you will settle in well with a Rattlesnake.

Wait till Tuesday and after getting some SP transfusion think about:

- Golem - if you wish to train missiles. It's much better than Raven! You can tank entire rooms purposely activating triggers in missions.
- Vargur - if you plan to improve gunnery skills. It's the best turret PvE platform IMO. Of course tanking entire rooms is also possible but you can also play a bit with micro-management (MJD) if you do not like AFK missioning.
- Nighthawk - great against Guristas DEDs in high and low-sec, Also occasionally you can use it to grind through level 2 & 3 missions to get access to level 4 missions security agents.
- Ishtar/Eos - great drone boats if you want to farm high and low-sec DEDs in Serpentis infested systems
- Rook - if you are interested in wormhole PvP.
- Onyx - brick tank and awesome tackling platform. Use it for PvP in low-sec.
- Sabre - if you wish to gate-camp solo in null-sec.

I hope this helps! Cool

No it doesn't. Encouraging people who can't choose between a few T1 BS to buy SPs (Hundreds of dollars worth) so they can fly ships they shouldn't be, in no way helps.

Come on, guys! I did not suggest OP should purchase SP needed to fly all above ships! I only suggested him to choose one of this ships according to his preferred in-game activity. This is also newbie friendly advice! Newbie flying Marauder is not going to die in level 4 missions due to Marauder's crazy tank even if he accidentally destroys all mission triggers. Bear

Please just stop. Your advice is bad and you should feel bad for posting it.

A new player in a Golem is a killmail waiting to happen.

Virtually no-one bothers ganking a random T2 Raven.

Also Bastion Mode is a ticket to die if you disconnect.

Really mate, don't, you were asking for advice only a few weeks ago with PvE stuff (Onyx and Rook), do not talk like an expert now, and don't recommend these kinda ships to a player like this.

Your advice isn't right, nor does it help, and FYI, Newbies will burn in a fire if they sit in a Golem, SP does not mean you have skill or knowledge, doesn't mean you understand how a ship works, it means you can sit in it, that is all.

Just stop.

And for the OP, mate, the Raven will serve you great, I do recommend going MJD fit, and hit things at max range, cause there are some Missions where even my Rattles shield start breaking (I brawl), but Raven will get you the best results and do the most for you, though I hope you enjoy whatever you choose, and good luck!

As mentioned, the Raven has the advantage of selectable damage types.

If you have semi decent drones skills, I second the motion to take a close look at the Rattlesnake. They're surprisingly cheap (thank the goons for farming the crap out of their space) and combine a ridiculous tank with an equally ridiculous damage output.

I solo C3 WH sites with a Rattler with measly Cal/Gal BS III and T1 RHML skills (although I do have rather good drone skills).

Clearly, you've never encountered a blaster fit Vindicator.

Hey there.

So, soon I'll be able to get a battleship, but I'm not sure which of these two to get.

I have a Ferox and a Drake and I'm doing l3 missions completely fine but I want to start doing l4 missions now. The thing is I have no idea which one to get, both sound interesting enough, and even tho I prefer turrets a lil bit over missiles I dont mind missiles at all, I find them fun anyway. So I dont know, I was looking for something that would make me go for one instead of the other, maybe something special a ship has that can convince me of going for it.

Thanks.

Any battleship is good if you have core skills and if you don't rush into battleships flying small or medium guns, small or medium armor repairers combined with a shield booster.

And while you are at that, you may want to think about T2 and T3 ships, which are nimbler and faster versions of what you want to achieve with a battleship.
