I was a dragon knee once, then i took a curved adventurer to the arrow, and all i get is my cloud district stolen in the sweetroll..

That is actually the best way to play TES games. Pick a concept you like and go for it ignoring all other considerations. It makes the game much more interesting to play and you'll never be underpowered no matter what you chose, since the crafting system in the game is so overpowered. I almost feel like I'm exploiting the game when I take advantage of the possibilities it offers.
