The self-destruction of one of the last HighSec carriers in Irjunen

As protest against the planned introduction of the controversy discussed skillpoint trading system and the laughable restrictions of highsec capitals I will self-destuct my Chimera on Sunday, 31.01.2016 at 17:00 evetime.

Estimated scarcity value: 100 billion ISK
Where: Irjunen (0.5), in front of the station (there is only one)
When: 31.01.2016, 17:00 eve-time

Everyone is invited to take a look if he is bored elsewhere from the game.
Don't expect much except a unspectacular explosion of a carrier.

If you want to protest in a way that CCP will possibly give a rip about, just drop your subs for a while.

EDIT: Should have mentioned I seem to be hearing from a lot of people who are doing just that...but they aren't making a public spectacle out of it.

So you are going to blow up a ship worth about...76 PLEX and 76 months of EVE game time, the last Carrier in High-Sec...Because you can't stomach the idea of skillpoints being tradable, and the other thing, although said restrictions have existed for nearly eight year.

Honestly, you're being childish if you are just going to blow-up a Chimera in protest. CCP won't even blink. It is not much of a form of protest, anyway.

What is coming will come. It will not negatively affect you. It won't even diminish the game in anyway outside of offending "elitist" preconceptions formed by those who have already spent years in the game.

It'd be more profitable to you to simply sell it off.

Carriers that CCP decided shouldn't be in high-sec.

Self destructing that carrier, sounds more like you will be doing CCP a favour.

Self-destructing ships still give killmails when attacked, right? In this case I guess I can send one of my characters in a cheap frigate or something, to uh

"observe" your self-destruct.

Alternative:

Sell it for 100ish Bil ISK
Buy 100Bil worth of PLEX
Sell the PLEX off price to crash the market. Or just randomly give it away in a PLEX-away event.

You will have more fun, help some lucky bros and CCP will be more annoyed (if any ofc) by the free months you gave away.

I would find a better use of that carrier man, it's a rare HS ship and in my opinion should be left intact where it's at as a FU to CCP.

Whomever is making the last few years decisions on what changes are to be implemented in this game, must hate Eve with all their being.
