Also, all you f**kers need Amauté...

Of course I have some animosity towards the Gallente. They kept telling me that I'm free to eat anything and then shove a plate of snails right under my nose and tell me to eat it. Then they act offended when I choose NOT to eat the snail.

I am free to refuse, dammit!

Where are you eating that they require you to eat that "food?" When I lived there I never had that problem.

They do not actually order you to eat the damned things but they do pressure you into eating it, with suggestions and passive-aggressive statements. And they will be offended about it if you refuse to bend.

It's not that they are denying my freedom to dissent, it's that they are being really annoying about the whole thing.

hmm, must be who your with. The guy who I was living with just let me eat whatever without even glancing at the things I refused to eat. Honestly I never seen him eat snails or anything like that either.

Just don't try to start an argument with him about anything, especially anything political. You will end up with an impromptu political debate with multiple parties trying to sell you their ideals. Oh, don't even think about suggesting a Midular into presidentship, jokingly or no, unless you are prepared for the debate to dominate conversation for the entire week.

First off, I was wrong he's Intaki, not real Gallante, but grew up elsewhere. Second off we talked alot about politics and he always just ended with "at the end of the day it's not my problem." Honestly he's probably the most supportive person in my life, definitely one of the few I can confide in and get a real opinion out of.

My criticism on Gallente opinionated busybodiness does not apply on the Intaki now, does it? The only things I can say about the Intaki is that I like their clone tech and their curry.

I am also under the opinion that all the families in Mikramurka can use the curries to warm their bellies.

Ya, though he served the Federation until YC104 as an infantryman and always more identified himself as Gallante than Intaki.

Since I don't know him, I cannot judge exactly how Gallente he is based on my experience with the Gallente. I do suspect that age and experience had mellowed him out.

Ya that kinda' makes sense, all he does now is make ships, modules, rigs, and random stuff on planets. He seems just content letting the world go by now that he's made enough money to live comfortably and only runs his business as a hobby to partially fund my antics...

Tragically many Gallente llives were sacrificed in the vain assault on Caldari freedom. It's ironic in the extreme that a society that supposedly lauds personal liberty does not include any room for collective freedoms.

Keep in mind my earlier statement was deliberately inflammatory as every one of these topics have been.

That said, there was a kernel of truth in what I said about a Gallente perspective on our first war with the Caldari. Many of my people saw that conflict as one for the collective freedom of the Caldari people, to prevent them from being subjugated by anti-democratic megacorporations bent on operating without any government oversight. I'm not denying that the Caldari colonies were a threat to Federation hegemony. We both know that mattered.

What also mattered, and so often goes unmentioned, is that the people of those colonies were denied what would have been their inalienable democratic rights as Federation Citizens. Not by the Federation, but by the rogue megas, who did everything possible to keep their crimes secret. Secession from the Federal Union meant the same for every Caldari who became subject to the domination of the State.

It would have been one thing had the Caldari people voted to do this, but the Megas never let something as unpredictable and transparent as an election stand in their way. Since they did not, it was easy for many of my Gallente forebears to conclude that the Megas were manipulating events to force a war that would allow them to wedge the Caldari people away from the Federation and a legal system that protected their rights.

So yes, in our minds we fought for your collective freedom, ungrateful primitives though you were.

Rinai is part of an organisation that makes money from the continuation of the Status Quo. Not that I can throw stones in that case, my fortune was entirely made in the warzone as well. Still it bears repeating that when you read posts from both of us, you should bear in mind that the end of the war brings the end of our income and judge accordingly.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

Does it mean you will try to stop me if I will be about to stop this war once and forever?..

All you ever eat are protein delicacies and rations. Even Brutor Flatbread is less bland than the stuff you eat on a day to day basis.

At least that wasn't ME who tasted dog food to make such a comparison.

And maybe even if you ate dog food to make such judgement, I still would discard your words as gallente propaganda as well, since I don't remember you actually trying to eat MY food.
