So cruising around on the tabloids and came across this.

Quote:
THE United States military has grown tired of traditional tactics and is working on a new technology that promises to revolutionise modern warfare.
Using an implant, the Pentagon hopes to capitalise on the millions of neurons found in the human brain to create a modem of sorts.
Known as an implantable neural interface, the chip would allow data to be freely transmitted between the human brain and digital devices.

Be interesting to see if they can pull this off.

If it is possible to get information from brain into software, what with information from software into the brain? Viruses? You may be programmed to buy some things or to do certain things or vote for someone, or be atheist or maybe something more sinister?

i did not read the artical, but if i am gleaming right, this is the thing that Stephen Hawkings is trying to do. A neural interface so he can control his wheel chair and talk to people, as it stands right now, he does all that with a single cheek muscle. so yea..

OMG Comet Mining idea!!! Comet Mining!
