Does anyone forsee plex prices ever dropping back to 500-600m a pop? I'm super sad that I must pay 2.4b a month to plex 2 accounts.

Looks like I'll be dishing out the credit card.

If CCP starts turning off some ISK "faucets", we may see a decline in PLEX prices.

From my understanding, a majority of the PLEX market is based on speculation, not actual need. That means those with large amounts of PLEX could flood the market, driving down prices. Or conversely, continue to hoard PLEX, and we would see prices increase as they have.

Quite simply, the more ISK people have, the more they can spend on PLEX. If we start eliminating some sources of ISK generation, we may see PLEX prices level off or decline.

Nope. People like to park their spare isk in PLEX. If some of those people leave the game (perhaps out of boredom, or if they die in RL, etc) and never come back, that PLEX is effectively destroyed. The supply of PLEX gradually diminishes over time.

They're going to be 1600-1800m soon if my predictions are right.

Only thing that will stop that is a dramatic decrease in ISK entering the economy - like a major null war that slows ratting.

I would say 1600-1800 as well.

The interesting questions are what price the people who are speculating in PLEX will start cashing out at, and what people have as their "If PLEX hits this price, I will spend some $$ on it"

It is unlikely that speculation would cause a sustained rise in price by itself.

And yes, PLEX prices could go down. There has been one period where prices declined for awhile. However, the long term trend is upwards.

Will the PLEX price hit 1600-1800m? Kind of a useless prediction, it is like saying, "It is going to rain....someday in the future." Well duh.

Now if somebody said, "I think PLEX prices will be 1600-1800mm by the end of the year." At least we have something to work with there.

Frankly, to get to that level, I think it will be when CCP ties PLEX to yet another game resource/activity. Maybe when they give us a firm date for the SP injectors.

PLEXs are tied to inflation, they will not ever drop unless CCP introduce some massive isk sink (citadels ? Blink)

Odd. I got two from a guy in a Heron once.

Price-wise I see no reduction.

StraightIt rebounded very fast from the usual xmas dip.

can't see another sale anytime soon

Strong buy: IF no new sale comes from upcoming patch, that the only thing stopping it at this point.

grats to those that made isk on it.

One of jerrys first trades since being funded was flipping plexes in Amarr :D

As someone who's only option for subbing is plex, that would be a sad day indeed. I'd have to drop the sub on my 2nd acc, which means I'd effectively lose my JF.

They will stabilize / drop once enough people cannot make the needed amount of isk / month to buy one-
(where X is however many they are usually buying).

Now whether people start subbing with money or quitting the game once they cannot buy plex with isk
is something I don't know.

Time will tell. Or CCP, I'm sure they have some numbers in this matter already.

They will not drop. Cause CCP keeps adding features, that require PLEX (skins, skills injectors) so even with reduced amount of alts played the demand is still very high and it will stay high.

to answer the question no.

I think once injectors go live plex price will spike, i think by a lot.

Opportunities multiply as they are seized.
