Launcher: Incorrect character name entered

Trying to log into sisi via the new launcher (ran via steam) and yet whenever I try to login it says "Since you haven't logged in from this IP before, please enter the name of one of the characters associated with your account" and yet whenever I put in eiher character name it allways come up as incorrect. Attempted turning off firewall, running as admin and messing with ports and I have not recently changed my password but nothing gives, the previous launcher worked just fine with /server:singularity and I am at a total loss of what to do. Is there anty yway to rollback the launcher to the one that worked or am I just screwed

Forcing sisi to run via .exe does get me to the main screen but trying to login just throws up the "incorrect username or password" screen.

Note that I had the same kind of problem the last time I tried to use the beta launcher, it just trips up on the character name part. Is there a way to bypass this infuriatingly inane system, use something like an emailed code like steam or tera or firefall or rift. Y'know, a tried and proven method of verification

I had this happen a couple times to me.

What I did and it worked a couple times is when you go to enter your character name, also check the "Don't ask me again" box and when it fails. do not click anything, just close it reopen the launcher. Log in again a hopefully it bypasses the character name.

This has worked a couple times, but also failed a couple times.

You could also just make a shortcut of "C:/EVE/SharedCache/sisi/eve.exe" on your desktop and just open your launcher to check for updates and when it's done close it and open from the eve.exe file.

tq/eve.exe for the tq clients
duality/eve.exe for Duality.

I had this issue but after a few days i manged to get on sisi by going to the E symbol at the top left and select server list then select play on what ever server you want, it will load up the old login screen (the one you got before the launcher). youll be able to login in from there no problem. Big smile
