Hope you people have been watching Pioneer One, a crowd-funded/distributed scifi-series. It just hit it first season finale, great quality both with writing and producing!

I watched the first episode. Not too bad for an amateur production.

The cringe-worthy things that really ruin it are the old line about the 'crazy vodka drinking Russians w/o imagination' (who none the less made it to Mars), and the fabrication about Stanislav Petrov.

Is this how it goes for the rest of the series?
