Best area for lowsec ganking?

I've been looking into ganking mission runners and small targets in lowsec, but the region I currently reside in is too quiet. Are there any lowsec regions that are fairly populated/there are lots of targets to gank? (Besides FW) Thanks.

Enjoy the counter-ganking now you've made your intentions public.

Gladly. I don't think that comment is relevant, though.

You want easy targets ? Lol

Really though seriously you should forget ganking and just learn pvp ,this will up your target numbers and provide a lot more content for yourself than just roaming looking for easy targets

I didn't say that. I asked which region is the most populated and has the most available targets to gank.

Well, probably not the one you will be in now. Lol
And low sec does not really have easy targets, they are rather experienced players. Everyone watches local, pushes directional scan, sometimes uses cloaks so you can find yourself "surprised".

FW is the best you can have, IMHO. But you can also check Makiriemi and Ieyama constallations...

I don't think you'll find a large number of 'soft' targets doing PVE in lowsec, except possibly some explorers.

Black Rise is quite populated, but mostly by PVP-ers (both in and out of FW).

I know some lowsec PVPers that occasionally do some lowsec PVE for ISK-making, but you're going to have a hard time 'ganking' them. They'll most probably slip away and come back with a PVP fit and friends. Pirate

Best of luck, but maybe you'd be better off hunting in null.

Great idea actually.

I've lived in fw in black rise for a couple years now. There are very few pve'ers out here and the ones that are out here are usually flying through in smaller or cover ops fit ships.

Imo, null will be your best hunting grounds with a cloaky travel fit T3 cruiser and a mobile depot to get into pvp mode.

The land of Prospect hotdroppers, cynabal and orthrus everywhere and Skiff whick manage to escape hotrdop and can ECM and scramble, yeah you shoudl be better looking in null or look at trade hubs "shortcuts".

The soft targets are mostly in highsec , gated behind a wardeck .

you will want to leave the npc corp though

There are most certainly some very dead regions of space out there. In the Low Sec systems where I play, there is usually between just me and one other in Local. Last week, I made almost 10 jumps (in sort of a loop around my Low Sec station base) and didn't see a single person. It was very nice!

I also, know that some routes to the Spire, for example, are quite dead. I am not sure of exactly the routes I've heard people take, but in a previous corp, a player had to make almost 50 jumps and only came into one Low Sec system with one other player.

It sounds plausible enough tonight, but wait until tomorrow. Wait for the common sense of the morning.

There's not really an easy answer, lowsec is generally sparsely populated and where it is populated is probably the least desirable place for someone that is new to hunting to be hunting.

Monitor filtered queries like this for mission fit ships, you may start to see patterns emerge.

Figure out where the level 4 agents are and survey those systems and the surrounding areas.

Highsec is full of shiny targets and most of them don't expect to be ganked which is why they are so fat and shiny

There was once a time when Rancer and Amamake were the place but for a long time now, since they changed the scanning mechanics in 2009, there was no reason to run the gate gauntlets in lowsec just to get scanned down and destroyed anyway.

Based on observation, lowsec was finally killed off at that point but that depends on your perspective. People who can maintain some control or security in a lowsec pocket can reap significant rewards. But much of the lowsec action is faction warfare and people hunting them. Entire corporations are dedicated to that. You might consider joining one of them.

If gate camping is your speed, but you don't require it to be under any specific reason, you might consider nullsec chokepoint camping, like EC-P8R and similar highsec-nullsec entry points for example. There will be other campers so you won't get bored and whereas it seems like a lot of players say 1v1 PVP is dead, late-hour highsec-nullsec points are still an opportunity to grab a 1v1 with another night owl player.

Another avenue for gate camping is to join a highsec wardec corp. Camping the gates in the high-traffic routes is pretty much most of what they do. And not everybody they dec simply runs away. If stationary PVP is your speed, you'll likely find it through this route.

That's relative, transitioning from WHs to lowsec feels like transitioning from lowsec to highsec in terms of player behavior.

Eve Agents to find the good lvl4 lowsec agents, Dotlan to see places where NPCs are being killed the most, and you'll have a pretty good view of where you *might* find people to kill.
