Launcher error message while downloading.

Currently unable to launch eve for these reasons. Pls fix?

I get the same error with a El Cap. Mac Mini.


When i try and submit a bug report i get this:

logged in with no problem before dt this morning, tried to get back into game after dt, I now have this same issue from nowhere... day off work and a little disappointed to say the least :( tried a system reset and re-downloaded launcher to no avail, has anyone got any idea on how to fix this yet? would appreciate a little help with this, thanks in advance


I submitted a bug report, did some coffee and paperwork and tried again to log in an hour or so later... as if by magic, sorted, log in successful :D I am now a happy chappy :D

Same situation here. No one's found a fix yet I think. I have a reddit post up; if a solution gets posted there will transcribe it here.

I have the same issue.
After DT today I cannot log into EVE via the latest Eve Launcher.
version 998442.
Eve Online Launcher first displays pop up message
"An error was encountered while downloading (see log for details). Do you want to run network diagnostics?
I was clicking 'Ignore' for past week or so and it was getting in.

Now it says "PLEASE WAIT"
I waited and waited while my Aussie bros had fun playing, obviously they are not using a MAC client I suppose.
I can now not play the game until this is resolved.

Looks like you did it again ! Same error as last time but this time it actually prevents me from playing the game. I can still just manually launch one client though.

As a workaround I opened the normal Eve Online app under your Application folder.
You need to Bypass the current new Eve Online Launcher and don't use that.
You just open Eve Online App and this will use an old launcher and update it.
It worked for me so I am happy.
Give it a go.
Ask here for any help if you need it.

Problem for me is this: I am actually a secret PC user (used to be a mac user but bought a PC for eve ironically). However my PC is currently nonfunctional for 3 weeks so I'm on a borrowed mac which is too new to have had the old launcher. Got a download or something? Can't find one.

Same here. I'm starting to think they don't even test the Mac client before they update. This isn't something that would
escape even minimal QA.
