I have current 'paid' accounts for WoW and SWTOR. I play those two whenever they have new content and intend to use EVE as my 'grinding' game. Not a fan of doing that in WoW or SWTOR, their storylines are great though.

I give OP 2 months, before she leaves.

Really, you want to grind in EVE, that's the most horrible pick of all multiplayer games to do something like that in this game.

* MIning = boring as hell
* Missions = After rescueing the Damsel for the 20th time you say: F**k you B**ch, go safe yourself. That's how quickly you will run out of new content. Don't expect much of a storyline there.
* Incursions = Same site, same order of targets...nothing new here.

So seriously, PvE in EVE is very very much just a filler and an ISK generator for the main part of the game: PvP.

Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

Help channel: Help chat - Reloaded

Public roams channels: RvB Ganked / Redemption Road / Spectre Fleet / Bombers bar / The Content Club

So seriously, some players cannot see any other way to enjoy a game other than to beat the snot out of other players? I mean, understand that there are a crap ton of people out there that love to sit behind their keyboards and click little squares to make/grow things to build large farms/towns/homes in database flash games and that these people VASTLY outnumber PVPers in MMO's... right?

To the logic used though, after you've killed that 1,000th less experienced or surprised player what fun is there in the game? The logic works both ways.

Perhaps the better question is if the game is fun and exciting, PVP or PVE, isn't that good enough?

Some people like to build things, whether it be wealth, corporations, friends, you name it. Some like to test their mettle against others who hold similar values. Yet some just like to destroy what others have built, ruin the game for them, make them work harder, whatever you want to call it (tear collectors? sociopaths? I'm not sure what name applies here). These reasons are why the game exists as it does, with the limitations it has built into it.

Being a game designer and avid player myself, I can certainly tell you that the universe in EVE is far more robust to PVE'ers than you describe. I've done both PVP and PVE in MMO's and EVE looks very well developed in both. Their storylines could be stronger but that's a function of not actually working with the toons, only the ships. I'm having fun doing mostly PVE at the moment, as I learn the game, but it doesn't mean I won't PVP at all, I know I actually will, it's just not what I'm usually first drawn to in MMO's.

As for me leaving in 2 months (assuming that you were addressing me with the two month comment) I paid for a year so I'll be active for at least that.
