Delay between clients

I run 2 clients on 2 seperate screen and have noticed that my right screen client (reserved for my lower sp character) almost always seems to show things before my center screen. Ships explode on that screen first, targets appear and disappear on that screen first ect. The delay is sometimes close to full second which has me wondering if it's one client on a different server tick than the other. I always log in with the center screen client first so I thought I try reversing that and logging in with the secondary client first and see if that effected anything. It didn't. The primary character still shows things slower than the first.

Example

You'll notice that on the right hand overview the blue target is further away and moving faster. The target was moving away from me and each of my ships were sitting side by side as the ship moved between us on undock. Due to the range between my ships its hard to say exactly what the difference is between clients but the different speeds and the fact that he appeared on the right screens overview first is indication that I'm not just imagining things. :)

SO... I tried swapping the clients and putting the secondary client on the center screen and the primary on the right hand screen. In order to rule out some sort of weird delay introduced by my processor or video card.

Example 2

You'll notice now that on the right hand over view the blue ships velocity is MUCH faster than the center screen. In this example the blue contact was warping in on the station and decelerating. Since the center screen was updating sooner the center screen shows the ship moving much slower than the right screen. So for what ever reason, my lower SP character ALWAYS shows events taking place sooner than the older character. Regardless of when one logs in first, which one undocks first or which screen it is on.

Could this have something to do with more information needing to be loaded for the older character, I.E. more SP/assets/etc? If so then does that mean that every high SP character in EvE is at a disadvantage because it takes longer for them to load whats going on around them?

Normally that 1 second or so difference isn't a big deal. It only became something I was more concerned with when I started using my secondary screen to provide remote sensor boosts to my primary to catch ppl on gates. I figure how can I possibly be catching ppl fast enough if by my own eyes my targeting character is loading slower than my booster. How much slower then does that make it in regards to the other guy I'm trying to target? All it takes is a single server tick for a fast frigate to escape.

For a further test I undocked 2 fairly fresh alts from the same station. One from each of the same clients as used before in order to see if one particular client was always loading faster than the other regardless of the character selected. It didn't. In fact in this case the two clients were very nearly in sync but the character selected from the primary characters account (the one that was updating more slowly) was just very slightly ahead. This time I was outside a crowded station and you could watch changes take place on that characters overview happen just a fraction of a second soon than the other. This small of a difference I can put off as random being updated at slightly different rate. In fact I logged off and back on and they were reversed. This time with the other client's overview updating slightly ahead.

The purpose of this and what it proves by the fact that it happens consistently, is that my much older character is updating at a slower rate than younger characters and that it's unrelated to what screen I'm on, my login order or undocking order.

Just wanted to note that this has been a constant issue for me too recently - and the annoying thing is that the character I am more active on is the one that is slower...

I used to load up 4 clients on 4 monitors in under a minute, for the last year it has gotten worse, now they sit randomly on black screens and take 2-5 mins to log onto the character screen then once again into game. Game has gone down hill.

Same for me! CCPPLS?! For warping in fight, gatecamp situations and stuff like that it is rly bad that my main characters always is 1+ second behind :(

EDIT: Checked it on a gatecamp situation with four clients, three refreshed together and one was delayed and it is always my main which is delayed.

This problem seems to come and go for me still. The other night I was in am FW plex with a third pilot and I noticed something odd when the npc spawned. He never appeared on the second client. I assumed I'd suffered a socket closure then about 30 seconds later (after we'd already destroyed the rat) the rat appeared and on the second client it appeared as if the fight was occurring in real time and the rat was seemingly destroyed by our other toons while that client watched. After that I looked at the plex timer and it was indeed a full 30 seconds behind what was displayed to the other characters. I warped out of the plex and back in again and everything was once again in sync.

Edit: forgot to add. In this last example it was irrelevant to the character age. It was the younger toon that was 30 seconds behind.

It's normal if it's just 0.5sec or so
