After reading this forum and doing some research on my own, I have been able to fix my graphics problem of when undocking/docking and jumping thru gates. i am running an acer aspire 7741z. what i did was the following

go to control panel
went to the intel graphics and media
clicked on the 3D tab
set it to custom settings
went to the vertex processing and selected the enable software processing.
clicked apply and the started eve.

after doing all of that i have not had ANY problems with eve blanking out or crashing.

I hope this helped. I will see if i can figure out the same steps for other computer as well.

Tried this and no luck. I've also tried the test server and am having the same problem. I've got two logserves from the test server to upload, one from a jump and one from launching the game. Just to know know whether I should make a new petition or attach them to my current one.

I tried this fix just a minute ago, problem still persists :-\. also, to Jimi, I would say just upload it as extra files to your most recent bug report.

If you don't mind me asking, what are your other 3D settings? Also, would one have to restart their computer for any changes to take effect?

for the other setting on the 3d
the texture quality is set at balance
the anisotropic filtering is sett for application settings
and the vertical sync is set to application settings.

if you want to do a restart then you may. I didnt. I also help a corpmate fix their dell desktop and their laptop which was a dell is the same fashion. they are not having anymore problems with the graphics..

I tried restarting with no effect. I'm pretty sure changes like these happen immediately. Intel's software would instruct you if you had to restart.

Well, I don't know about him but I'm using a Dell Latitude E6410 laptop, and it didn't work for me either.

Same problem here. Resubbed today after a year break to get this flickering screen, often crashing the computer after jumps and session changes. Can i have my money back please? The game as is is unplayable. Thanks.

And yes, I am also using Intel I3 processor with dual graphic cards in my laptop (Intel HD onboard card for work and stuff plus Nvidia card for games). The problem seems to be with I3 processor and dual graphic card setups like my laptop has I think. Eve graphic settings menu shows that its using Intel card, although I have manually set it up so that when Eve starts computer should automatically switch to Nvidia card. Laptop model is Asus U30J. MB version U30JC.

From what I've heard eve will automatically use the primary gpu, you can't manually change it. At least not through the eve client. People have said there is software that allows you to pick the card you want to use though, just search around the forums.

At think it might be safe to say (I hope I'm wrong) that 1.03 isn't going to contain the fix for the issue since it hasen't worked on Sisi. Anyway, Hopefully there will be more ideas tomarrow.

I GOT MY ISSUE FIXED!

Heres how, no idea if it works for others. I use this little program that i downloaded ed from somewhere, filename NvGPUStateViewer64 that comes with Nvidia Optimus Tools 64 bit to see which graphic card (Intel or Nvidia one) is in use and to force programs to use Nvidia gpu if needed. It looked weird. Programs that needed to use Nvidia GPU did not use it anymore, instead used Intel GPU.

It seems that MS or Intel with one of their latest updatest messed up graphics card software somehow that uses Optimus technology. No longer were apps able to turn on Nvidia gpu for some weird reason, only Intel gpu was used, also by games. Due to having total 5 laptops in the house I always used automatic updates on them, never payed much attention tbh to save time so no idea when exactly the drivers got messed up.

Here is how I got my Asus working:
Updated only my Nvidia graphics drivers which I got from here (only for Asus U30JC, not for other computers):
http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=U30Jc&p=3&s=253

I did not update drivers from there manually before, because my computer comes with Asus Liveupdate software which apparently is malfunctioning and does not update anything automatically as it turned out now.

I did not do anything with Intel HD cards driver software, it stayed the one that Windows update provides automatically.

And problem solved, now NvGPUStateViewer64 shows that Nvidia card is switched on when game (EVE) starts and Intel is switched on when excel or firefox starts automatically, as it should be. Also flickering/crashing when session changes in EVE is now gone.

So people with dual graphic cards and Core I3 processors in their computers, try get newest Nvidia / ATI drivers from your laptop / desktop manufacturers site, hopefully there are proper ones available. No need to mess with Intel HD card drivers, they are not the problem (at least in my case were not).

I got no solution for people with only Intel HD graphic card, sorry.

For people with only Intel HD graphics on board and Core I3 processor: it might help to use some older Intel graphic card driver, instead of the newest one. Would not be surprised if this would solve the issue.

I've got a HP EliteBook 2540p laptop with Intel HD (Core i5) and have the same issues as many in this thread, black screening from time to time, more often display driver "crashing."
Same thing exists still with current SiSi version, starting from the game starting display driver crash before even logging in.

Problem is still there with 1.03. I can't be sure but it may not have happened the first time on client load, but then I undocked and jumped and the problem is still there. Exited, loaded client again and did get the black screen that time.

It seems like it's loading much faster now. I don't know if it just went by so fast that I missed it on the first client load or if the problem did not happen that one time. Previously, on jumps the checking navigation systems bar would get to 40-60% and I would get the black screen. Now it gets to 100% (or very close) before the black screen.

Edit: The game is unplayable in high sec as well. Might not be as likely to lose a ship and/or get podded but there is still a chance. I am not willing to take that chance when I can crash on undock or jumps. I am training skills and do an occasional test undock or jump, that's it. Fun! I will be requesting that additional time be added to my subscription. I am waiting until the problem is fixed so I know how many days to ask for.
