True story. Killed a Worm with me jamming his ship and drones in my griffin after some dude in my alliance baited him and got tackle.

FYI: With Long Distance Jamming V, a Griffin caps out at around 66km optimal range on their jams. If they're jamming you from 80km, they're either A: Getting deep into falloff (vastly reduced chance of success) and they're skirting the lock range limit of their ship (81km with Long Range Targeting V) or B: being boosted by warfare links. NOTE: Information links are very, very low on most FCs list of priorities (eg: they're kind of unusual to see in small gang situations. Large fleet fights on the other hand.....).

Perfectly skilled, Griffins cap out at around 9.9 points of unheated Jam Strength (~11.1 heated) when using the 'standard' fit and they have something on the order of 1,300 EHP. They die horribly in a fire as soon as anyone gets a couple of shots off on them.

Unless the guy has a Mid-Grade Centurion implant set and a booster with a Electronic Superiority warfare link. Then the optimal range would be well over 88km.

Griffins are frustrating, but they don't break the game. There are some counters if you wish to obsess about these lil wonders of WTF. Fight on, and when jammed - curse loud at the screen.

Only about the single most expensive Implant set in the game mind you..... The Omega & Gamma are seldom traded on the market. Go run some Mordus Angels missions if you REALLY want a set.....
