I like frigates. I like frigates so much that I hardly am interested in training to larger vessels. So I go looking for frigate fights and I've had a few all good fun. The time it takes from my puny 16 waking hours to find each fight when all I wish to do is test my fit against something that wants to survive and can pull sweet tricks and such it's just too much wasted time.

I want to test and see new and interesting fits. I want to meet people without having to switch corps only to find it was jst all hot recruitment air.

So I imagined like a POS shield that goes up around the people who activate the arena. Different 'arenas' have different rules. To the death size restrictions and so on. Players who want to view the fight can park at the shield and watch the fights and enter them hoping to win fame and glory or just to have their ass spanked and learn something.

Was thinking that static arenas would be boring and mobile ones would draw players to areas unused and also create opportunities for travelling merchants to scam isk which is what makes a merchant smile and keep playing. So mobile or static arenas with a POS shield around the activation unit which players either setup or have their settings preset so that crowds can decide what they will see based on where they park.

I really want to get out into wars and corp activities but I always encounter a wall of lack of information goals and superiority complexes. So while I'm stacking isk and training skills learning about eve arenas would be fun. I like fighting friends in duels however friends are few and far between.

Also it might be interesting to broadcast the results of large purse fights over the captains quarters view screens.

There already is 1v1 PvP Arena action. Just look outside stations in main Empire systems.

As for CCP setting up some Concord sanctioned Arenas, good idea.
