Go to recruitment channel.

Say "I am new and am looking for a corp, I want to do [Whatever it is you envision yourself doing in EVE]" you'll get like ten conversation invites.

This works for basically any potential career path except being a highsec mercenary, because apparently we don't recruit like that?

The recruitment channel in AU time is full of trolls and people who talk about just about anything other than EVE, and I have seen marmite recruit there. The in game search is also pretty bad as almost every corpopration has hours of operation 000 to 2400, and if you go to their chats its empty.
No one talks in local, unless you in a trade hub, I have been warned by my starter corp not to engage with them. So I agree with the first post. I have now subscribed, so will be posting in the recruitment form.
Just thought I would come share my experience here.

I recomend talking to the guys in rookie help channel. ask if any of them knows the names and channels to a few rookie friendly corporations, and ask them to maill or convo you with the info.

In my honest opinion it is hard to find a good corp in recruitment channel

Agreed, recruitment channel is a joke. I would suggest it is equally common for aggressors to search for easy targets that are currently recruiting more easy targets, as it is for actual legitimate corp hunting pilots.

It's hard to find a good corp period. I've hopped a lot of corporations when I first started, got to try different things from null to wormhole and to me it sounds like that's what you need to do to find that right fit.

Good luck and welcome back to New Eden!
