Tibus Heth. Great Caldari Hero ? Or, Greatest Caldari Hero ?

Dear. Ms. Priano,

We certainly are in agreement. That the CEP was in deed using the term 'renegade' when addressing Tibus Heth after his warrant had been confirmed is propably the iconic example of how drastically things derailed during the final part of Heth's reign. It is, however, only one perspective and I think we are advised to accept that the firm stance of the Chief Executive Panel and the Caldari Business Tribunal is only one sentiment among many. While it seems a necessary one to me, in order to correct Tibus Heth's wrongdoings, I can understand that his deeds are also a matter of passion, hope, disappointment and emotions for many, not only a matter of reason or jurisprudence.

Regarding the accusations of lies, I can only express my disappointment, as I did before. And I am strongly convinced that the issue between a respected Caldari Officer and a honorable CEO can be settled without one side degrading the other. But it will not and should not happen in public. Those things are not to be solved on stage. If I can somehow support the settlement of this dispute, I offer my limited possibilites. Otherwise, as someone who feels deep respect for members of the Caldari armed forces and is subordinate to honorable Ms. Priano's chair, I won't say any more.

Respectfully yours,

Honorable Haritimado-haani,

I would like to ask you to stop following leads of anti-Caldari elements, who were trying to derail the conversation about Tibus Heth's heroic deeds with his misdeeds. I myself could list several of them, that none of them have spoken about, but that wouldn't be profitable both to Caldari reputation and the ongoing discussion.

Besides we shouldn't forget that the CEP have used the term 'renegade' when addressing Tibus Heth when he was alive and could defend himself. Today that would be a mudslinging towards fallen Caldari hero and soldier, that no respectable and honorable Caldari would ever do.

And of course, despite what bad or percieved by some elements bad deeds Tibus Heth have committed, his good and heroic deeds overweight greatly his misdeeds. He undeniable was the hero of Caldari people. And as children of Raata we must honor him for that.

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

Excuse me for misunderstanding, it was said not to or about dishonored liar Priano, but about a weird pilot, who suddenly popped out to troll in TISHU manner and referencing to them, namely Naoko Kanaka.

I have no information on background of this inconvenience, namely Naoko Kanaka, and made assumption only on her introductory post in IGS. Maybe I have been too fast with this conclusion, but her connection with TISHU is obvious. Degree of that connection is still unclear.

But what is clear is that Naoko Kanaka displays arrogant anti-Caldari behavior and manners of low-life capsuleers.

Historical figures are real people, too, and like the ore that was refined to form the metal of the monuments to raise to them, they too contain waste and less admirable moments.

It is of no matter.

Their mettle has been forged in the crucible of their deeds. They serve now as reminders of the best we can be and we celebrate the shining figures we've made of them and that's fine, so long as we never entirely forget the rest of them too.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

I see.
Well, I haven't had any business with mentioned person either, so this isn't a personal conflict.

Thus, either Naoko Kanaka is a gallentean propagandist or just a deviant. Unfortunately, there are a lot of demented pilots in our cluster, speaking in manner of Naoko Kanaka. But considering her agressive stance just from her appearance, I would bet on gallentean reason.

I prefer to read the IGS than to post on it, if I have to have any exposure to this place at all. Partly because of you.

You and your posting provide, at best, comic relief that often results in a sore nose or face, and at worst, a stark reminder that there really isn't such a thing as a truly evil person, but only those who do bad things according to their perception of the "best interests" of others.

Heth may have done some good for the State in his early days. No-one here is denying that.

But Heth's actions toward the end of his time in power were certainly anything but good. Having his goons open fire on employees of Kaalakiota or Ishukone - citizens of the State - simply for exercising their rights to freedom of speech. (And yes, freedom of speech is a thing we have in the State.) Ordering a Navy Admiral to fire a Titan's superweapon on not just an inhabited planet, but Home, then lying about why she took the tea afterward. These are not the Caldari way. Certainly not the Caldari way that I was raised to respect and follow.

The Chief Executive Panel denounced him in June of YC115, calling him “the leader of a terrorist insurgency against the Caldari State.” Kaalakiota, his own corporation, declared him an outlaw and removed him from executive office according to policies that have existed for longer than you've drawn breath. A guri. And yet, despite this coming from the true leadership of the State, and his own corporation, people like you continued to publicly support him, and still do to this day.

It is a tired, broken record that you play on this forum and in other venues. Sometimes, it's funny. And sometimes, it's just sad and disappointing. Depressing, even.

No-one really denies your skill in space, either. Most just think you'd be better served by keeping your mouth shut and fingers away from a text-input device, and focusing on that in stead.. It reflects far more poorly on you than it does on anyone else.

Regarding bricks... you would do well to teach yourself about the concept of metaphor. Makoto's post - even while largely consisting of links to news articles - was the "brick" because it very neatly derails your usual arguments about how much of a "hero" Heth is. No additional points needed to be provided. As for it being unprovoked, you would do well to learn that one needs not directly name or target someone else in order for them to be provoked: You constantly attack and insult people I have had long-standing professional and diplomatic relationships with. I don't particularly care for it, especially when your attacks and insults are inaccurate or even outright lies. And in the same breath as saying you don't call people who disagree with you Gallentean bootlickers, you accuse me of being a Gallentean troll? Give me a break. I don't work for the Federation, and never have: the majority of my time as a capsuleer has either been with Caldari or Amarr-affiliated entities, and the rest of that time with those unaffiliated the Big Four.

Gordian knot, indeed.

In addition, I've got far better things to do than duel you for the sake of playing into your ridiculous bloodlust fantasies.

Me making a sarcastic reference to TISHU's particular brand of memetic humor (which, while amusing in small doses, gets stale rather quickly) does not mean I have connections to them. I don't operate in their area of space, we have no standings with them, and neither of those is likely to change.

It was also not my first post on the IGS, but it was my first post responding to your continued arrogant (and rather un-Caldari) behavior and poor manners.

As I stated before, I'd have to be affiliated with the Federation for that to be true, and I guarantee you - and will be backed up by those I have worked with in the past - that I am certainly neither among the Demented, nor a "deviant" by any standard definition of the terms.

I don't have to be Gallentean to think you're wrong, or to disagree with you, or to speak up when you attack and insult those I have worked with, past and present.

The cautionary tale is as important as the paragon. Boldness must be celebrated, but not when it becomes brashness; else why do we pierce the veil?

In other words, you are just a troll, who is too fast to throw words about "bricks to face", but too coward to stand for her words.
Dully noted.

Besides, it was your idea first about slapping face with bricks, so don't start me here about "bloodlust fantasies", hypocrite.

Well, and here you show yourself both ignorant, arrogant and hypocrite. Not like I am surprised...
Don't cover your incompetence with my words, considering you have just shown to the whole IGS that you have absolutely no knowledge about what I write, whom and how.

Whelp!
Yet you didn't say I was WRONG or was DISAGREEING with me. You simply popped out to troll and show aggression.
And considering you might imply you were trying to "argue" I can make a conclusion that real arguments with you will be pointless and absolute waste of time. People of your mental abilities are not suited for civilized discussions.

Moreover, you show hostility in words, but failed to back them with hostility in action.
What a type of a capsule pilot are you? Brainless gallente propaganda retranslator, attached to the pod?

On that note, have we actually had any leaders in our nations that haven't constituted a cautionary tale in our capsuleer generation? Ray of Matar, the blind man, Roden, Heth, Jammie and Karsoth etc. It seems we've largely had rather bad luck when it comes to our governments the last decade or so. All of us.

It's of course rather difficult to get any super-human leaders to appear in a cluster populated entirely by normal humans and capsuleers, but they have all seemed to be a little less than stellar. We can do better, I think.

I think that Midular was a great leader, and more of an example to us all than a cautionary tale. Cautionary tale maybe in a sense that enough rumors and slander can destroy anyone, regardless of what they had achieved up to that point.

Shakor, Heth, Jamyl and Karsoth etc are all worthy of the 'great leaders' moniker too. Midular was not particularly different from them in that she ****** up rather badly just like they did. I'll grant you that in her case it's a matter of opinion but it's not exactly a rare one.

I personally do not think that the late former Prime Minister Karin Midular's entirely at fault with the clusterfrak that happened in the democracy experiment. If anything, her failures are testaments to the existing problems within the Republic and the Minmatar people themselves.

Let her failures remind us that the Voluval does *not* dictate destiny and the dangers of not exhibiting a backbone in a political landscape as fractious as the Republic as well as a reminder that democracy is not a perfect system and may not work with societies like ours (which is divided along family and blood lines).

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.
