I've looked in the stickies.

I've looked in the information portal.

Have I missed the post or what? But I definitely see people going on about a holiday gift list. Can someone give me a link?

personally I don't think reward gifts for being a customer should be hidden within the depths of the seldom visited account management pages or the dev blog posts that, well face it, NOT EVERYONE BOTHERS TO READ
yes you ******* rockstars, some of us don't hang on to your every word or have the dev blog set to home page....

yes, giving away gifts to your loyal fan base is not enough, CCP you must force the gifts on them at every opertunity too, in fact dont let them choose just give away everything automaticly to every station cargo for every member....

I heard it was on the 'devblog' from the forums, after some searching on the eve website I finally found this blog in google. Most of the people I talk to in game think I'm referring to the implants when I ask them if they've selected a Christmas gift. Why isn't it an announcement where the patch notes link is or at least in a news feed? I just assumed this is a CCP ploy to force people to start reading the dev blogs?

I do think the devs have some sort of god complex. Congratulations you can type in color, this is the only thing that makes you special. I would rate your overall job performance at the microscopic company in the tiny bankrupt nation in which you work a 4-6 out of ten. I hated having to read your stupid ******* 'blog' I hate everyone who has a 'blog' or a twitter for that matter. **** YOU

Confirming this thread looks the gift horse right in the mouth. Then punches it.

If anyone ever looks at you and says,_ "Hold my beer, watch this,"_  you're probably going to want to pay attention.

Neither the devblogs nor the forum must be your browsers homepage. But a "once in a while" look into them is - independend from the name of the game - recommended.

I got a reminder from one of my corporation colleagues.

That assume there is a devblog which is of import to you. The implants dev-blog, not so important because there is no information about the implants that can't be acquired through the in game info about them. Redemption of the implants is an automatic notification on your character selection screen through a big button that looks like a present.

Having the gift give away buried in that dev blog.....idk...kind of a failure of marketing since this is prime real estate for marketing purposes but as it stands now it's being treated more like an insider secret.

To be frank, the way the dev blogs are organized does not make getting pertinent information easy. As far as I can discern they are not sorted by date or by topic, nor are the topics accurately descriptive. The only sorting that I see of the devblogs is by posting activity which does little to aid in the discovery of information which is important to the one who is looking. Sure, one could use the search feature but then that assumes one knows what one is looking for. The x-mas gifting is a perfect example. You have to know about it in order to search for the dev blog that discusses. If you don't know about it, you're not searching for it. Nor is the CA-# implant dev blog descriptive of a gift give away.

Perhaps they should have buried the POS fuel change over into the CCP artists dev blog. That would have been fun, yes?

A simple notification in my eve mailbox that would make my neo-comm go flashy would be nice, otherwise I probably would have missed this as well. Communication is a major point from the rage this summer, this kind of thing should not be confusing for players. (in the end it'll all land on the GMs shoulders otherwise)

"There’s no point in acting surprised about it. All the planning charts and demolition orders have been on display at your local planning department in Alpha Centauri for 50 of your Earth years, so you’ve had plenty of time to lodge any formal complaint and it’s far too late to start making a fuss about it now. … What do you mean you’ve never been to Alpha Centauri? Oh, for heaven’s sake, mankind, it’s only four light years away, you know. I’m sorry, but if you can’t be bothered to take an interest in local affairs, that’s your own lookout. Energize the demolition beams."

Truth, best post ever!

We will do stuff to raise awareness of the gifts. It's true that not everyone is probably aware of them now and we'll try to change that because we want everyone to get a Christmas present and be happy around Christmas. We want everyone to be happy all the time but especially around Christmas.

If we've been nice we'll get informed, otherwise we'll be visited by CCP Guard using his new T2 InfoHammer (and some potatoes).

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I do critisise you guys a lot, but you are working on that hard and we can feel the difference compared to 4-7 month ago.

Keep up the good work.

This.

Some people wouldn't be satisfied if CCP came to their house, rang the bell and told them in person about their gifts.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

If there's one change I would make to the way CCP are handling the xmas present, it would be for them to be more like my mother.

Specifically, anyone that complains that they're not good enough doesn't get one.

Liked for very solid reference. Be proud.

EDIT: Related, can we get something like the IID in eve? Or the Wabbajack in Skyrim? Just a single module that fills out a ships slots and has a random outcome each time it is activiated. Not an entirely serious proposal mind you, just something that would make me giggle: Frig pops up, activates IID and ends up killing the titan. Or turning it into a frigate as well. Oh the tears...
