guess what, I'm totally hooked on Eve, just subscribed after a trial run.
game is incredible, finally playing after years and years of hearing and seeing!

there's one thing though, that's been itching me since I destroyed my first pirate ship.

There's not - so-to-speak - an in-between animation when things explode. It goes like this: target structure in the red, last hit to kill, object disappears, explosion animation kicks in.

While almost unnoticeable with small frigates, it becomes funky and goofy looking when destroying larger objects. I had to destroy a few pirate bases; on the last hit the target simply disappears, and after a split second the explosion animation begins.

A real immersion breaker, was wondering if it is a known issue or it is something the developers are planning to fix.
If it was meant to be that way, well, it doesn't look so good.

Other than that, I'm absolutely loving this "game" Big smile

Always been that way. It would be nice if there were a more immersive transitional process of explodifying our armored death machines, but alas such a change is not as simple as snapping one's own fingers...or anyone else's for that matter. It would be a development hurdle that would have to be high enough on CCP's radar and priority to actually do.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."
