I resolve to die before the year is out in lowsec. Hopefully more than once.

I resolve to hug a curmudgeon weekly.

I resolve to wake up each day, and ask myself, "Am I a troll?"

I resolve to be unfailingly loyal to those few who deserve it, and to f__k over the rest.

I resolve to try to finally listen to Bjork without sneering, because Iceland.

I resolve to drink more or less-- I haven't quite decided yet.

I resolve to get over my phobia that my character name is too long to fleet with.

I resolve to stop being a missioning carebear bc dat is boring af.

I resolve to start hating miners. Hello? Minecraft is over there dewd.

I resolve to continue to not gaf if I'm liked. Which is number one, really.

A not-so-heroic first death!

Guy was burrowed into the station like a tick. I think I did zero damage.

Congratulations, you have taken the first step into true EVE. My first death was even less heroic, trust me.

All you need to do now is repeat the process until you win, preferably off-station. The high you get will be worth it, trust me.

Yes, the station proved highly problematic. I warped to zero on squad mate, not realizing he too was embedded in the station. My idea was just to go in with overheated guns for a few seconds, just to see, then gtfo. I actually spent most of today making sure my overview is set up correctly, so I had no problem initiating a warpout to a random planet in time. Unfortunately the station prevented that quite nicely. Now that I think about it, I might have been pointed and just not realized it. This game is info-oversaturation.

So that's the last time I'm warping to a fleet mate without knowing exactly what's going on on-grid. My fault for not asking, not having tactical bookmarks ready, and not at least just warping to 100 to check it out.

A good lesson.
