Tried using PaySafeCard to upgrade my account from Trial, but the payment keeps getting rejected even though I have an adequate balance. Sent a support ticket to CCP about it one and a half weeks ago, still no word from them. Anyone know why this would be happening or how I could fix it?

First, ensure you are in one of the coutries that are supported for this payment method.

https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203523882-PaySafe-Card

Also check the balance of your card, it is possible that the failed payment was not refunded, in which case you'll need to contact PaySafe.

I am in one of the supported countries (according to the article) and used a MyPaySafe account which has an adequate balance even now.

Then I guess there's no choice but to wait for a response to your ticket, unfortunately. Whatever you do though, don't create a second ticket, I've heard that can actually make it take longer for them to address your issue.

My bank always rejects CCP charges, even though it is an international card, it seems to trip the cards security protocols. So it might not be CCP's fault. Call your card company and ask if they declined the charge. If they did, ask them to ok allow the charge to go through. Or use paypal.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

It's not a conventional bank or card company. PaySafeCard basically sells cards worth whatever you pay for them (25 euros gets you a 25 euro card for example) which you can use to purchase stuff. Similar to how companies sell game time code cards, but in this case it's just money instead of game time or currency.

I would think that they still have to have some kind of customer service. I used to have a similar problem with my bank card. They would decline it every time and I had to call them. Eventually I asked them if there was a way to just approve payments to CCP and I have not had to call them since.

Bottom line is that if you give pay safe your money they have to have some kind of customer support they also almost certainly have some kind of safeties built in to auto reject certain kinds of payments or at the very least flag suspicious ones.

Also if the payment is getting rejected that sounds like it would be pay safe that you need to contact. I highly doubt CCP would be rejecting money coming in. The more likely scenario is that pay safe is refusing the payment for what ever reason and it would then be pay safe that you would need to contact to find out why.

UPDATE: CCP support has replied to my ticket and it's not a problem on CCP's side. I've contacted PaySafe's support and am waiting for a reply.

FINAL UPDATE

I was contacted by PaySafe and they aren't able to complete such transactions due to the Greek capital controls at this time (which makes no sense at the moment but elaborating further would be redundant and unrelated).
