Interesting.

Not all the features work yet and it's a bit slow in market searches but I see it's still a beta so.... it's all good. We need a good site that integrates all aspects related to playing the market, logistic and industry. Even just the first two since for indy there are a lot of tools already but hey, totally bookmarked!

Thanks. Which feature didn't work?

Basically the trades and the shopping cart. The former returns always server error 500 on a blank page in chrome, I tried to change all the settings I could but same result. The latter I don't know, it's probably me but I don't see the "add to cart" button that's supposed to be in the other pages. I can add to favorites but that's another stuff.

In any case I've been using it quite extensively today and I can tell it's really pretty. I like a lot the attributes windows for the items in the market, very useful if you want to buy some faction or meta item and need to compare them all out of the game. Also, the list that appears when you type a partial term (such as "medium shield booster") is very helpful to see all the items at once and opening them in separate tabs without typing the partial term hundred times again. The link to dotlan for locations it's pretty too.

Since we're here, lemme throw you some random feedback/bug report I filed during a couple of hrs of use today:

- I think you have 0.0 system showing as lowsec. That's nullsec already :p
- you definitely need to add Hek to the main hubs
- you definitely need to add nullsec to the pre selection thingy
- you should really really have a search limited for regions like from a drop down menu if somebody need to check prices in that region alone
- activation time in modules is shown in a weird way, like "2,400.00" to say 2.4 sec
- adding the same item to favorites adds it multiple times. Useless.
- you should implement some form of navigation via TAB or ARROW keys. When i tried the manufacturing window it was a bit of a pain to fix all the components from ME/TE 0/0 to 10/20. Even more so for T2. But it looks quite complete and working.

Anyway, I think it passed the exam, it will go from "bookmarked" to "hell yeah didn't need eve-marketdata anyway" Lol

LOL, great way to end the review/feedback. I'll definitely be considering your feedback, it seems reasonable.

One thing I noticed was you were saying you can't limit your search to just region. Maybe I don't understand, but you can type into the "Select Location" box that says "System or Region" in it, and press enter to filter on a region, then hit "Find Orders" again and it should filter.

Damn, was it so easy? :facepalms:

In regards to the 500 error, I'm not sure, it seems to work okay for me in Chrome. The site uses cookies and local storage of the browser. You could try clearing those. Or perhaps a different browser. Not sure. If you find out what scenario causes it let me know. You could also try two very low population systems rather than regions, could be some kind of timeout issue.

Have you discovered the Refresh/Update Data button yet? It's my favorite feature. There is a little refresh icon circle at the "Data Age" header on orders page and beside the data age number on each trade. Press it and it loads the latest data from CREST so you know you are looking at up to date data, no guessing!

Yep, it totally looks like a timeout issue. Trying with less populated systems and lower volumes (I was checking for freighters ot JF volumes eheh) did the trick.

Cross posting here also.
Looks nice. Good job so far.

Here are my points.

1. You should improve the theme change. Use Javascript to change the CSS classes that hold the theme to avoid reloading the entire page (after all the data are the same).
2. Provide an API so other apps can benefit from your data aggregation (would really like to see a daily dump file, xml or json, of average price for each item to use in EVEMon).

Thanks. Great tip on the JS theme change, can't believe I didn't think of that.

In regards to the API, that is possible, however probably not in the near future. I want to focus on getting the site working great, then worry about any kind of API. Unless of course there is a massive demand for API.

Any 5xx error is always a server side error. Not much a browser can do that causes this, except sending "unexpected" data that screws up the server's work ... which again is the server's duty to look out for.

Quick update, just wanted to apologize for the poor performance of the trades page. The server I am using isn't up to the task. I will be investigating other options for the server soon. For now, please don't mind the slow speed too much. And I hope everyone is enjoying the site!

EDIT: The server is back up and double the power. Trade response times are much improved. Enjoy!

I gave it a quick look, I like the regional trades info, but it's very important to also include daily trade volume. If I want to move Item A in Jita to Dodixie, I want to know how many are bought/sold everday in both systems to get a rough idea of the item's velocity.

Sure, I could theoretically make 1m isk/unit moving something around, but if I move it and it ends up sitting there for a week because nobody buys at the destination system, I've probably lost money due to opportunity costs.

You can roughly achieve that info by using the "View History" link on an items market orders page. I will definitely consider adding this info. Thanks.

Some updates based on user feedback:

  • Fixed: some item attributes had strange values on orders page
  • Hek and Null-sec quick links
  • Tab stops on blueprint page in chrome
  • Added: titles to menu bar
  • Colors of "View buy order" etc links on orders page for clarity
  • Theme changes now happen immediately

More to come in coming weeks.

Enjoy guys, and keep the feedback rolling in!
