Question about certain items that no longer drop

So, somebody in the sell thread is selling a dread gurristas micro smart bomb and he already has a 500 mil bid. I was wondering, do faction smart bombs no longer drop, or is it only the micro smart bombs? Does anyone know of a list of items that have been removed from the loot tables?

AFAIK, all new sources of any kind of micro smartbombs (not just faction) have been discontinued.

Probably your best bet for someone knowing the full list of items that are only obtainable from other players would be Entity.

For specific categories it depends on what the category is - I know what skillbooks are only available from other players for example (salvage drone operation, mobile factory operation, mobile refinery operation and astronautic engineering)

Well, technically, you used to (as a spy) be able to create a situation in which a large ship (piloted by somebody less than completely attentive) would end up vulnerable after logging out at a POS.
And that's how one titan got killed - a spy armed with a microsmartbomb just barely damaged the titan pilot before he logged off, leaving him with a PvP timer, and in the end, the "other guys" managed to destroy it in time.

All the 'micro' stuff, except for aux power cores, were removed in 2007 and the bpo's magically transformed into the 'small' variant (t2 included, existing mods were left though).

In the first release of the loyalty point stores they accidentally had faction micro stuff included, but removed them rather quickly with a patch as this was already after the general removal of micro mods.

They're probably among the most common of the 'removed/rare' items, although 3 of the t2 micro smarties seem to be pretty rare, faction variants even rarer.

The dude with that one DG micro smartie you referenced was trying to get like 40B for that a few months ago.
