I'd personally go with the Paladin. T2 pulse lasers and Scorch.

If you are going to do full clear in Amarr space then Paladin with T2 pulse and scorch is the best possible choice. As to how to avoid a shiny loss i strongly recommend overtaking to start with. As you learn the capabilities of the ship you can up the dps and lower the tank. You will also need to take into account how stable your internet connection is as this is a particular concern when it comes to marauders and will dictate if you go burst tanking or cap stable-ish.

once you are comfortable with the ship and with bastion, look into a polarized fit with a cheap pith x-l booster and boost amps. It's a straight up 25% dps increase.

last suggestion would be to fit hyperspasial velocity rigs. Trust me, totally worth it.

For blitzing/serious isk making check my Sig.

This polarized Paladin sounds very interesting, would you mind sharing the fit?

It sounded very interesting to me at first as well....until you actually try using that fit in a mission. Trust me, you don't want to do that to a Paladin.

I would go with the pulse paladin used it a lot, very few cons, bastion mode saved me a few times when I fudged the triggers.

I Just started to play around with the polarised Paladin on the test server before I left for holiday, I want to put the fit through the grinder so to speak so I can say how it performs in practice.

Interesting topic!

I resubbed a few weeks ago and I'm trying to change a bit my Paladin fit.

I'm looking toward the following Pulse setup (I don't really like Tach).

Quote:
[Paladin, Pulse II]

Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Internal Force Field Array I
Large Armor Repairer II
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II

Large Micro Jump Drive
Target Painter II
Tracking Computer II, Tracking Speed Script
Heavy Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 800

Mega Pulse Laser II, Conflagration L
Mega Pulse Laser II, Conflagration L
Mega Pulse Laser II, Conflagration L
Mega Pulse Laser II, Conflagration L
Bastion Module I
Salvager II
Salvager II
Small Tractor Beam II

Large Anti-Thermal Pump II
Large Energy Collision Accelerator II

Hobgoblin II x5
Hobgoblin II x5
Hobgoblin II x5

I plan to use my MJD also for assault purposes, as with my skills I reach [EM-TH-KI-EX] 82-82.6-76.3-78.3, to keep the pulse at range at anytime.

Stable with Repairer OFF, 4.10 min on, unless you Cap Boost (then its stable @69% all on minus MJD of course.
2 salvagers II as I'm still using a MTU @ 100m from my ship. Tractor Beam is there to speed the looting process.

I can't really agree with that statement there. The point of range tanking is go to max spank and minimal tank. You only need ~300 e/hps vs rat type and ~3 minutes of cap.

The only other Domi fit I use for PvE is when I feel like spider tanking/drone bunny of doom.

I rarely fit guns on the Domi, as the lack of weapon damage bonus is meh. Navy Domi on the other hand......that's another beast.

As for a paladin fit on the cheap...
[Paladin, on the cheap]
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Large Armor Repairer II
Reactive Armor Hardener

Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
500MN Microwarpdrive II
Cap Recharger II

Mega Pulse Laser II, Conflagration L
Mega Pulse Laser II, Conflagration L
Mega Pulse Laser II, Conflagration L
Mega Pulse Laser II, Conflagration L
Bastion Module I
Heavy Energy Nosferatu II
Heavy Energy Nosferatu II
[empty high slot]

Large Energy Collision Accelerator II
Large Capacitor Control Circuit I

Acolyte II x5
Warrior II x5
Hobgoblin II x5

If for some reason you have everything running, sans MWD, you have 11+ minutes of cap using conflag...you're crapstable if you use scorch of IN MF.....as long as you NOS something. NOS is no joke for PvE. I'm actually surprised how few people fit them. I generally don't salvage as I go along. I have multiple accounts, but I can't help but feel that if your missioning in an area it's better to just come back in a noctis in 1.5 hours down the road.

It's omni tanked, you'll never have to switch out anything as your lowest tank is over 1k e/hps vs Angels. I haven't yet tested it in the Amarr epic arc, but I'm pretty sure it'll handle it just fine. That and I usually fit atleast a little bling, after all it is a billion isk hull.

You can also use dual hyper spatial rigs but personally I can't be bothered cause when I'm in warp I'm usually surfing through youtube or looking for the another playlist.

wondering at all the "Conflag L" fits... really tho, Faction Multi is the way to go, you get ten times the life out of it, you get a tracking/capacitor bonus, and you lose what 2?3% dps, it's the difference between 1050 @ 23km and 990 at 30km, the cap bonus and the tracking more than make up for "paper dps"

I'm a strong independant alt that don't need no main...
