For some reason, CTRL-V dont seems to work well With EVE. I had the problem a long time before the summer, working, not working, for weeks a time. Then i took a break from EVE... and Ctrl-V suddenly worked fine. Came back in late november... and didnt og long before Ctrl-V stopped working.

Tho i can use Shift-Insert... that works always...


But in all, EVE somehow turns Ctrl-V on and off...



Anyone else had this problem?

CTRL+V as in "paste" and more precisely "paste text"? and more precisely "In Eve" or everywhere in your OS while eve is running?

(as you may know you can cut and paste lots of stuff in eve, even Item between container)


PASTE = CTRL+V is a reserved shortcut you can't modify, you'll see in the in game shortcut

question is : did you affect it to another function? (you need to check them all)
do you have a funky keyboard or laptop, or any "intelligent" software doing magic stuff with key in windows (some accessibility option, high end keyboard drivers with sofrware, usually on brand computer with their keyboard like HP or a laptop)

if you can identify a reproductible pattern to have ctrl+V not working, opening a ticket is the way to go as ccp may have answers already

oh, windows, linux or mac?

No, it has not affected other functions, just ctrl-v.
No, got a standard keyboard and not to my knowlege about intelligent software.

The patter of the problem, is sporadic, but persists for several weeks, sometiomes few months, before it suddenly Works again. Have tried to switch keyboard (now runing on diff keyboard) but problem still comes.

Windows7 and Windows10, problem has not been affected by Windows Upgrade. Tho it was away when i had a long break from EVE, so i know it has something to do With EVE... cuz after few weeks of playing EVE again, ctrl-v stopped working again.

might be noted that cut, copy, all, still Works fine

hum I guess I don't understand something... you say that paste works fine.
what do you use CTRL+V for except for pasting?

(or did you mean "right clic" cut and paste?, in this case ignore this question ! )


but anyway, I guess this is in the bug report realm, nothing comes to mind as why this could happen "normally"
best option would be to open an in game bug report "F12" when it happens, they may be able to get some logs from your client

I only use ctrl-v for paste... nothing else...

and yes... everything else than ctrl-v Works fine... like right click and paste, shift-insert. Cut and copy also Works fine

might need to send in a ticket on it...
