You realize when we fought brave it was literally over structures. Their structures, which had timers set to their prime time.

Technically it was over forty structures, but after they managed to do nothing but lose stuff without accomplishing anything the first two times they gave up.

must have been a bad fc, or no fc, did you manage to slip a spy in on there coms?

@loyd, i actually multiquoted so its me whos mad, get it write sychophant.

It was a couple of different FCs and it wasn't really a matter of the quality of FCing that was a problem. Their entire doctrine was just never going to work. They were trying to defend static structures using a tengu/eagle kite fleet without having any way of preventing us from just warping straight on top of the structure (no bubbles in highsec and no tackle in their fleet comp).

So they basically had to contend with a ball of arty Machariels and guardians siting on top of a structure. In order for them to do enough DPS to even require the guardians to put more than one rep on each other they had to come within incredibly close range, at which point they got webbed by the hero loki and blapped, when they pulled out their logi got blapped one at a time while their DPS didn't do squat.

Essentially the fleets they bought just weren't appropriate for what they were trying to do. Very much trying to apply a cookie cutter fleet to a situation that was very different to what they are normally used to doing and assuming they'd win because dedicated highsec PVPers are obviously much worse at highsec PVP than they are. Later on it was also revealed between the engagements that their leadership wasn't willing to spend money outfitting a different doctrine, even just fitting a bunch if POSpreys to suicide rep the POCOs and instead insisted they try again with the same fleet on the next POCO. After the same thing happened the second time they gave up as it became obvious that we weren't going to stop and it was going to be expensive, unfun and ineffective for them to try and protect them.

Brave also ain't what they used to be, neither in terms of numbers or enthusiasm, which were historically their major strengths. We've had tremendous luck fighting things that are shadows of their former selves recently, maybe it's time to put marmite down for good!

Anyone that doubts Vimsy's abilities should call her out in this thread for a 1v1. Everything she has said will gain clarity.

Don't be afraid of her - give her the 1v1 callout.

It's very difficult to 1v1 someone over the forums and I've yet to see you in Nourvukaiken.

risk averse

I hate this term.

It's like saying you take every step to make sure you can win is not fair towards to someone else who decided to step a few steps.

Just because someone is linked, or has a massive amount of logi on grid it's ******** to say they are risk averse, or not fighting them you are risk averse. You simply are making sure you can win to the best of your ability, or avoid losing your ship.

Also I have yet to meet one lowsec dude or nullsec dude to not kill a sub 1 mil SP merlin just because he new to the game. If he's in low/null he made that choice and is free pickings, just like if he is in a corp that is decced he is free pickings. I'm sure these people are out there, but the majority of people in EVE don't care, they want a kill.

Whining about how someone plays a sandbox MMO is equally ********, and entitled, usually hypocritical and will always be screamed out like it's something the world needs to know and is always screamed out by the gullible force fed sheep that they let themselves be.

Yes an interesting thread, changed my opinion on some peoplee ,
I do love how some people think null makes them look big, had some of my best times in eve fighting null groups in high sec, but as in all things both good and badRoll

BTW did the guy find his mercs and how did it work outt

Unlikely anyone will say, most of us take the clients confidentiality seriously so if the op isn't going to say, you're not going to know.

If you're actually curious then keep an eye on the merc threads for an endorsement .

If you were an enterprising person you could go to Zkill and look for POS tower kills in derelik and see if you could put two and two together.
