I am trying to install EVE on my work computer (w7) but it just wont work. I download and install launcher but it wont launch. It just stays in processes but no launcher pops up. I ran as administrator, I tried different folders nothing works and it annoys the hell out of me as I had it working long time ago. Even offline installation did not work and gave me some 2709 error. Neither beta or normal launcher does anything.

I left for vacation and I have multiple chars not training so feels like sub is wasted and nothing i can do about it :(

Same issue here. Could not get launcher to start, was always showing me "Offline" although I clearly have access to internet. Just after one launcher update stopped working.

After trying different "solutions" how to make it work (found on Google), I gave up and downloaded offline installer (version 988883 which is the latest one on eveonline.com).

Aaaaand - got error 2709 :-) Nice!

So basically I am stuck with online installer that takes like a whole day to finish. It doesn't make any sense - shouldn't offline installer be easier to make???

P.S. I play on both MacOSX and Win7. Mac version still works though.

The only way I was able to make it work wais by downloading and running repair exe

then running eve.exe launched the laucnher
