What kind of player do you find to be the most intimidating and puts you on edge? When you see this type of player in local, what makes you say "Wow this guy is hard core, I am docking up / leaving system. Is it the 0.0 alliance FC alt scout, the low-sec pirate backed by a heavy super cap presence, the 0.0 NPC PvP dweller. Which is it and why?

Lord Maldoror

Domination Nephilim - Angel Cartel

Calm down miner. As you pointed out, people think they can get away with stuff they would not in rl... Like for example illegal mining... - Ima Wreckyou*

Generally speaking, Carebears.
EDIT: Not that I am scared of them, I just leave out of disgust.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Yup, that's the one.

With that notable exception no one player intimidates me ,
it's the 30 corpmates they're flying with that'll make me a little squirrely.

I don't understand the question.

Why would or should I be afraid ?

No, honestly, it's confusing me.

Can't give a proper answer because of lack of local in those places where there's a reason to fear anything. Probably those 7 Legions that just blink on D-Scan and disappear cloaked are intimidating enough?

Or, maybe, it's a Highsec Social Manipulator? They're so meta that even their portrait is probably somehow scamming me while I look at it in the profile.

The scariest threat is always the one that you can't tell where it's coming from.

The most intimidating player is the one who brags the least, takes responsibility for his losses like he does his wins, doesn't blame others when he fails and demonstrates a deep knowledge of the game and of how people play. They are the toughest opponents, everyone else is just "a kid with a gun", ie they can still kill you, but it will be mostly by accident.

I've never been intimidated by a player type. You can a screaming angry dude in local, or some calm guy who never utters a word and wrecks my entire fleet. That's really not intimidating.

I however will tuck my tail and run like a ***** in a cloaky-stabbed-interdiction-nullified-and-warp-accelerated-Nano-Tengu if you come at me with a 30+ Kronos fleet.

I do have one too, It's called the bitchmobile.

The one that want to kill my ratting boat because they can disrupt my ratting and set me back making me rat some more just to get back to the point where I was.

If I am not in a ratting boat, then anyone is treated with the same level of respect as a potential target.

The AFK cloaker is the mostest scariest kind of player.
You never knows if they are actually there and awares or not. /shivers

The kind of player who takes the game way too seriously, winds up digging up your personal information, then contacts your mother on Facebook to tell her what a bad person you are so she can call you on the phone in tears about the awful comments she just got about you from some random on the internet. Meanwhile, you also get a personal email from them naming your mother and sister by name, along with their address, warning you that if you continue to blow up their ships in this game about blowing up ships, they'll be paying your mother and little sister a visit.

While intimidating, it doesn't make me want to quit EVE or even stop shooting them. It makes me want to shoot them more, as a matter of fact, knowing that the cybercrimes division of my local CIB is all over it once I file a report and provide the evidence, along with IP addresses of the emails and the messages sent to my mother.

Otherwise, I'm not intimidate by gameplay. No one should be. It's a game, not a job. You're only going to be intimidated if you do take it too seriously.
