EVE Launcher - Feedback and issues

i recently updated to the new laucher, and the launcher itself works flawless. i like that i can copy settings and stuff.

however, i have one problem since i upgraded to the new launcher:

i can not bypass it anymore by lauchning the exefile.exe directly, and this means, i cant use my shader injectors anymore to apply graphical effects like resharpen and colour correction.

Sure you can (for now), just look in the Shared Cache folder (Drop down menu, Show in Explorer, Shared Cache). You'll find a tq folder that has the EVE installation the launcher uses for running against Tranquility.

Hey Guys.

I purchased the game a long time ago through Steam and I am having a problem with the new launcher. It appears that for some reason it does not remember my non-steam accounts despite the fact I am setting it to remember. When I restart the client, only my Steam account is present. Are you aware of a way around this or am I stuck with it?

Thanks in advance for any feedback you're able to provide.

nice, thank you! using this directory as target for the reshader makes it work even if i launch the game thorugh the launcher \o/

Three times today my computer has frozen in under an hour. I am now unable to play the game. I have to wait for a 6GB plus upgrade. I work in Uzbekistan , a country with terrible internet access. If I am really lucky this will down load in about a week. Unfortunately I had just spent in excess of 600 million ISK's so I could purchase a skill implant to allow me to access the skills I needed to use my Retriever.

I can now no longer access the game and can't use the Retriever. EvilEvilEvilEvil

This happened to me more than 15 times at least. If i work the numbers, based in how much times per week i play and in how much of them i need to add these accounts, this new launcher do not have a feature of multiple clients being running in one click to me.

can you reproduce this issue? If so, it would be great to know how you did it.
I suspect one thing, which is happening because on how linking accounts is designed in the launcher. When you login to an account, and link another account to it, then you must login to the first account in order to get the linked list back. For example:

If you login to account A, and then you link account B, then account B is linked to account A. If you login to account A, then you will see account A and B in the list. However, if you login to account B, then you won't see account A. Account A maintains the linked list, because the linked list is stored on the first account that you login to.

This was originally done because we wanted people to be able to maintain many linked lists. But I'm going to discuss this with the launcher team and see if we can do this differently, in a way that's less confusing. E.g. allowing users to define account groups themselves, and selecting which group to use when opening the launcher.

80+ accounts here, all but 3 were just removed from the launcher again, for the third time. I have no idea how to duplicate this or what is meant here by linked accounts. Where can we see the account group profile? Is there any way to recover the account details before I start reinputting them?

Reinput all accounts again last night. Opened launcher today only two there. Is there any way we can save/export our logins so they can be imported? I know the number of us with massive numbers of accounts is likely in the minority but this is wasting hours of time.

Tried the new launcher since it will soon be forced down our throats.

It still does not remember what profile I set for each account.

Dear CCP,

I've added the new launcher and have followed the instructions to move the information from left to right when launching the new client. However I have found that my old Notes in the Notes tab in the old client didn't transfer, nor did the browser pages, nor did the Overview settings. Is there a way to correct this? Thank you.

I seen this has been brought up before with no clear "fix" unless I missed it.
I am finding that my "Account List" keeps deleting itself, usually in part, sometimes in whole.
When it does it in whole, then after I add one account the rest will magically appear, but when only some of them go away then they never tend to come back.

Is launcher version 2.2.999545 the new launcher or the old one that will not work after June 30th?

That is the old launcher. The current launcher's version is 1045952.1.949 (as of the time of this posting.)

Because the new launcher implements download on demand and shares identical files between, say, public test and live versions of Eve, it has a totally different scheme for organizing the game data. It will either download the data as your client needs it, or you can check the "Download Everything" box in settings and it will download the entire client into the new structure. Once this happens, you should be good to remove your old Eve install completely.

Be sure to check out the sticky Migrating settings from old launcher to new to ensure that you retain all your settings before removing any old Eve files.

A suggestion: Rename the taskbar icon to fx Eve Launcher, currently it is named EVE like a window waiting at Character Select.
