Hi,

after some years of not playing eve i was thinking "give it a try" and the special offer in my acc management gave it the last kick to do it...
so I have to reinstall eve on my PC as i updated to win10 with a clean install.

the problem starts with downloading the online installer. it takes several minutes to download the ~95 mb and I have a 50mbit/s connection...
next the installing of the client via launcher... it seems that the launcher downloads at roughly 100kb/s or so

I used the 991576 launcher

to test it, I tryed to download the client via the offline download on the eve page... but every part only get a ~50kb/s and furthermore failed at some point allong the download.

welcome back

there are some stupid issue with the servers (amazon) hosting the bulk of the data (though the week passes and no communication from ccp on the subject)

I guess : be patient, or try to download it somewhere else (check the box download all files) and copy the shared cache folder back to your computer

ISP/route/amazon content server issue, nothing to be done and randomly it will get better when amazon route you to another CDN

you could also try the "beta launcher", maybe it gets the files for the game some place else, here is a link to the setup https://binaries.eveonline.com/EveLauncher-991682.exe

lol internet : http://aws.amazon.com , yes the book store,.

amazon is hosting one the biggest cloud of the world, thousands upon thousands server in dozen of datacenter

no one in his right mind is hosting 16GB of data for "live" streaming on its own datacenter, you go to a real internet pro : amazon web service is one of them

what may have change is the fact that the client doesn"t need the full 16GB on the HDD but will grab missing resource from the content server on the fly (and store the data on the HDD permanently of course)
