Incredibly Poor FPS for the first 5 minutes?

Hey Guys,

Decided to upgrade my graphics card a while back (got a 980ti) but now whenever I launch EVE, even after wiping all settings and starting from scratch, the first 5 minutes or so are always running at around 1-3 fps constantly regardless of what settings I have. After waiting for a bit it'll jump right up to 300-400 fps and be fine until the client's closed.

Anyone else had / having the same issue?

it looks like you are not getting texture (or data whatever) until a cache is filled...

but did you make a clean driver install (nvidia installer, there is a small check box in advanced driver install to make a clean install) this is useful when upgrading card
and is your driver up to date?

next, clear your eve cache file (in game, ESC, Reset Setting, Clear all cache files), it will wipe some data and maybe some stuff interfering
next run "rescache.exe" located in eve folder(or if using beta launcher, in settings, general, sharedcache settings, clic verify) this will force the game to download all data files (so texture) to your HDD instead of trying to download them from the web

to be direct, this is the first time I see that symptoms, but I'm not ccp help support ;)
if nothin helps, go create a support ticket on the support site, maybe they have this symptom in their knowledge base

Yup drivers are up to date and I did a full clean install when I did the card upgrade.

I'll try doing the Cache clear (don't think I did in the first place, only settings Oops)

Will give it all a try when I Get home and report back, thanks!

Looks like clearing the cache solved the problem! Thanks :)
