It's not aimed at high-sec carebears, because high-sec spawns are practically non-existant. And it's definitely not aimed at newbies, since they typically lack the ship/skills/damage to be able to complete these before they get sniped.

Guess it depends on if you mean solo noob or noob who has a decent corp or social network.

Hi CCP, Thanks for operation frostline. Supposed to be this big deal where things were stolen and we go and get them back. 57 sites ran in wormholes, and I get clothes/quafe if that's all that was taken then this event was way overhyped. Bloodraider event was awesome. The accelerators were great. Operation frostline is a bust. Basically you get a t-shirt and a drink which would be cool if the drink got me drunk but it doesn't 😠.

CCP said as time goes on more lucrative items will start dropping closer to the holidays. Probably to thin out whining, impatient, quick buzz crowd and reward the ones the stay interested in current events.

But go ahead b!+(£ away. Stop run the sites, the more for me! Personally I like Quafe!

Yep this event is a joke, mostly due to poorly considered rewards.

I enjoyed the blood raider event a lot, accelerators was a great incentive to take part. This event has no incentive for me.

It is a seasonal event. One aspect of this time of the year in my culture is to calm down and prepare for christmas.
As the devblog stated, rewards will change over time. So maybe we should all relax and show some patience until the culmination of the event.

Seconded

I did 23 frostlines so far and 18 out of those gave me a PLEX while the others gave the usual quafe zero+gecko+clothes. U jelly bro?

The real reward, though, are the delicious tears being shed in this thread right here.

What part of space did you run then in, if i may ask?

The type of people in these forums mostly is the type of people that would complain if they woke up in the morning and their **** was an inch longer.

I think I said earlier about the implementation of the sites, but they definitely got one thing right, the fun of them when combined with exploration. The removal essentially of unique items from survey sites when they wete redone always made me kinda down. Lost the charm. At least with these, every once in a while find something new and interesting. Found the catalyst serp skin the other day, permanent. Hell, it prompted me to get a catalyst which I never owned in eve yet. Yeah worth isk, but fun.

Found a 30 day one as well, so I flew to couster and gave it to a rookie... FUN!

To quote Lfod Shi

If you want to make these interesting, remove CONCORD from them...

Now actually sell that stuff for 2.8 Billion.... I seriously doubt you'll actually get anywhere close trying to sell most of that.
Sure, if you run enough sites you will eventually get something decent.
But you are talking well over 20 hours of actual play effort there. And a purely theoretical value on the items. And no proof that your results are even slightly the norm.

However sure, RNG is RNG. But the basic site drops shouldn't have had the T-shirts, they should have been a 'common' drop so run 10 or so and you should get one. But 77 of them is just silly.

It's nice to see that CCP have acknowledged some of the issue though.
