I dunno, I kinda feel like it you are going to run an event it should be for the most part worthwhile. Sounds like a bunch of people are just ignoring the sites now

holy hyperbole batman. A few people saying an event is a bit underwhelming is now "delicious salty tears" Shocked

that said with some of the drops that are possible you have to go low on the RNG, and that can result in a whole lot of nothing special. With the BR event most sites had loot, but with this one you can (supposedly) get a plex, and that is worth a bunch of the BR accelerators.

Even for someone like me, I'd probably get a plex faster via my domi grinding L4s. Too much competition in high, too much activity in the null region nearby for my liking.

I'm not going to say it should be a great isk maker. and/or directly comparable to regular isk making activities. But could probably use a wee bit more excitement than it currently has.

The fact the Tshirts have been a 100% item is the biggest let-down to me. As it means that people end up with hundreds of them. Quafe is nice as a reliable reward. Though more than 1 per can would have been better I can understand that the price at the start of the event was high enough to make that an issue.
But clothing as an 'always' reward feels wrong as an incentive. Much like most people who did the Harvest events have a million Abaddon skins they will never use or sell.

Make 'always' rewards consumable items, like the Quafe & other boosters. Then you always have a use for them.

How to satisfy all EvE players?
You can't!

However:
For that "operation Frostline" is very very easy, you have the --> CHANCE to get some really good stuff.

Hey, i mean PLEX!
And other really good stuff...
No way to get that in Omirs events.

OK, did not drop on my three tries, but it has chances.

Any idea how pathetic this whines are?

So bad standings with the RNG God?

Hey, i mean a plex or other reeaally expensive goodies?
Otherwise they would swamp the market.

There are many steps below something worth 1b.
Let's say.. something in the 20mio region?
many times nothing and one time a jackpot is boring.
better have sometimes nothing, mostly something in the lower range and rarely an expensive item.

They screwed up the rewards big time on this one.

Not only are the rewards bad for those who run them they are also bad for CCP.

The Serpentis shirts devalue all others t-shirts in the store. Them always dropping is poorly thought out as they could have been great if they were rarer.

So now you do a bunch of sites that drop next to worthless shirts that everyone will have. At least the Quafe is nice because it is perishable/destructible, but just a Quafe 90% of the time is very lackluster when you consider the hype around those sites.

The rewards are way too skewed toward the higher end, and are utterly terrible on the lower end.

Only way to save those sites as they are is to remove the shirts from it so they can recover from being worthless, and replace them with a more diverse array of loot so that you don't end up will all them dropping in value, like faction ammo, low-end faction modules, things that can at least be consumed/destroyed unlike a bunch of shirts.

Hit and a miss, so far CCP, hit and a miss

they gave out clothing and skins for the blood raiders event as well... i have a feeling they don't care about devaluation.

SKINs and Cerebral Accelerators are a lot more interesting than Quafe and t-shirts...

Cerebral accelerators had a 50% chance to drop cos they had an expiration date, if ccp put a 50% drop chance on plex it would mess up the economy.

That being said, i have done about 20-30 sites and all i got was sinth drugs and one green coat. I wont bother doing them any more.

CCP you could have used this opportunity to introduce a bunch of new skins and make them cheap so that almost everyone can afford one or two that they like but i guess designing skins is expensive and you would rather get $ for your effort.

The drops are poor in this one.

The great thing about the blood raiders event was even in highsec site runners where more than willing to PVP with each other over the drops.

This one isnt wirth fighting over

At least the T shirt I got said " I ran a Frostline and all I got was this lousy T shirt"

gotta be worth something lol

Civil discourse is uniquely human. After all, when is the last time a pride of lions and a herd of water buffalo negotiated SOV over a watering hole? Never. Someone either gets their ass kicked or eaten. At the end of the day someone holds SOV.

they did say the drops would change over time.

i'd bet it starts off with the lesser junk first, and gets better as it goes.

The quafe boosters alone are worth farming the sites... those are very useful, and sell well in nullsec

It more the veriation in drops. With the blood sites if there was something in the wreck you where garenteed a drop worth atleast 80mil. Maybe more.

With that carrot haning infront of them even the most care of care bears would consider a fight in highsec

Yep this event is a joke, mostly due to poorly considered rewards.

I enjoyed the blood raider event a lot, accelerators was a great incentive to take part. This event has no incentive for me.
