Subscription fees as listed VS fees when upgrading trial account

Hello,

The subscription fees are very clearly listed here. For example, 6- and 12-month subs are $11.95 USD and $10.95 USD respectively.

However, in the upgrade trial page of Account Management, the 6- and 12-month fees are both listed as $8.33 USD.

The only way I can reconcile the apparent discrepancies is to conclude that the trial-upgrade offer is NOT recurring at the listed price of $8.33 USD, and that at the end of the time rolls over into the $11.95 USD or $10.95 USD recurring sub. This would also explain why 12 months is the same price as 6 months -- you get the benefit longer. Is this correct? Or would I be permanently at $8.33 USD recurring?

Thanks very much!

File a billing petition and ask.

I think they are having a Christmas sale right now so numbers might look a little different than usual. typically the normal price will apply at the end. I see the normal prices in account management, I assume the deals are limited to new players and maybe returning players. nothing like getting them hooked with a deal :D

But otherwise, yeah, the "activation" (or upgrade from trial to full account) fee is a one-time cost that INCLUDES 30 days of game time (or 6 months or 12 months, if they have some sort of promotion going on). After that, you will have to pick one of the subscription choices, either monthly, 3 months, 6 months etc., and those prices are different than the activation fee.

Currently, CCP may be offering deals for activation and deals for subscriptions, because of the holiday seasons. Just take whatever's best for you. Pick the activation promo that works for you, and after that time passes you can always switch to a shorter or longer subscription plan, depending on promotions they may have in the future.
