Theres tons of targets, Poinen (Caldari Space) was always a good system, Large number of stupids up in Derelikt as well.

Jet can mining locations come from a complex formula of proximity to trade hubs and nearby new toon starting systems. Throw in a migration of Russian carebears for added effect and increased chance of the miner actually fighting you.

So... Lonetrek. :P


Honestly, you can find can miners just about anywhere. However, you will find in your travels that some systems tend to attract them more than others. Usually it involves the items I mentioned above. Some mentioned Vylade and Balle in Gallente space. [Algogille and Adreland have potential as well.] I would add Dantan and a handful of Kor-Azor/Kador systems in Amarr territory. And, of course, Lonetrek in Caldari space. :)

But seriously, I think it has to do something with Security status and Proximity to Trade hubs and Starter systems, 2-5 jumps away from each. If it has a lowsec gate in system the locals might be a little more wary, but thats just more fun.

While you are out can flipping, don't forget to take a few second and rush up to any hulks you see not using a can, cozy up to them and just wait 30 seconds or so. I'd say at least 50% anticipate an incoming suicide gank and warp away. If everyone would start doing this, it would help desensitize them for real suicide ganks. Plus, it's always fun to mess with miners.

[Canflipping is a really good way to pass the time between hurling stuff at Wt's and nabs that really should not be in low/null.

Most of the time you're only going to get noobkills, retrievers, haulers, t1 frig/destroyers and stuff, but occasionally you stumble across amazingly moronic people that really should get an "achivement unlocked" badge for being able to actually open a door or put on pants. Assuming they can do even that...What?

I had someone seriously think I was going to shoot over one unit of Pyroxeres. Of course I didn't. That one unit was only there to keep the can from going "poof". What would have been funny if I was actually ready to "punish" a can flipper. I have two toons sooooo setting up a trap wouldn't be hard. I'm thinking fit a neut on both, and warp scram on the other with a full drone bay on both. By the time any help arrived if they had any they would be dead, and I would be in a station waiting out the timer LMAO.

I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen.

The can miner is a rare and elusive breed.

Try Gallente space, there just seems to be more of them there for some reason.
