In-Game Events and Gatherings

This is an Official Evil At Work Message.

To every one of our Amazing Community,



There has been a lot of miscommunication as of late. We wanted to take the time to set things right.


Prizes
First, we want to apologize regarding the delay of prize winners. We are going through all the kill mails to make sure we are awarding awards to the correct people. We will have this shortly. The ISK and prizes have been secured by Chribba.


EOC.TV Rumble was our first event. As we made a lot of mistakes in the organizing of the event, such as getting information out late. And we are very sorry about that. It was our first time and we have learned from our mistakes.



The Cost and Fees
We posted a forum thread on 10/28/2015 on the EVE Forums regarding the EOC.TV Rumble event. Here we mentioned that the signup fee would cover the costs of the event and go towards charity.

Thanks to the Entire Community for everyone's amazing support. We received amazing donations, with Evil At Work providing around 30 Billion ISK to the event. The funds received from everyone was to cover the event and provide ISK to the charities.

Even with the amazing support from everyone, after the event costs Titan, Fittings, Prizes, very little remained left over. To make sure the charities received funds Evil At Work supplied another 10 billion, and additional ISK by Stargazer and EVE Bet.

Evil At Work never said it would cover the entire event as its new within New Eden but supported the EOC.TV Rumble event. This was the most Evil At Work was involved other than the creation of EOC.TV System

The Titan
The Titan was fully paid for using Grendel’s third-party services, using the entry event donations that pay for the event costs and charity as stated in the above link.



Continued Support
As we have these charities at heart, we have expressed our desire to continue to support the charities via ISK and awareness via all of our projects that Evil At Work has created.



Evil At Work
Evil At Work is here to create things to benefit the community with amazing projects. As a collective group, we focus our efforts on improving the community, education and entertainment of all members of New Eden.

We are a collective group of people trying to create amazing projects for the community. We have 18 projects in planning with 3 in the current works, EOC.TV being one of them.

We have the EVE Online community at heart and want to continue to make amazing projects for everyone.


The creators of EOC.TV being James(Design & Community), Adarics(Coding & Programing) and TehJackal(Design) are trying to create the most amazing video and Streaming site for EVE Online.

From all here at Evil At Work, we sincerely apologize for the release delay we had on V.2 of the system.

Further, we are sorry for the inconvenience that this misunderstanding has caused. We are growing, learning and doing our best.

Reading your statement full of ambiguity and vague language bordering on doublespeak saddens my heart.

So how much ISK are the charities getting?

Why have we heard no comment from Chribba or CCP on this?

By providing veiled answers you make it look like the whole thing was at best a complete **** up or at worst some kind of elaborate titan insurance fraud RMT.

CCP went on record endorsing this event and talking about how donations to charity would be made to the fund. Can we see a statement from the benefitting charities involved?

How much was given to Grendel for the titan?

This is one of the reasons that I've never taken part in any player run raffles or events which required ISK input in the past. I made an exception because not only did you claim to be running it for charity (the assumption bring we were paying because it goes to charity and we have some fun to go with it) but CCP went on the record endorsing your event in both a spotlight in the EVE Launcher *and* on the CCP talkshow, o7.

Now it feels like I donated in order to get on a titan kill (big deal) and help some players RMT / line their purses with booty.

As a result I will go back to my previous stance of never donating to any player run raffle or event, and a RL charity is out of pocket.
