How are you fitting the Navy EWAR frigs?

I'm looking at dual webs+rails on a scram-kiting Navy Griffin, but I'm having a hard time convincing myself it's a better idea than a similar Hookbill. If it's got the ECM bonus, why shouldn't I use it?

think these are more for support roles not really for solo stuff, other ships will certainly be more solo viable.

however the grifin has ecm bonus so its better suited to using ecm and not webs, unless the navy frigs have a different bonus?

Best part about the navy Griffen is there is no way to fit it for a role that something the sane price or cheaper can't do better

The gal frig shows some potential as a solo frig though particularly in FL

Friend of my has found a hill tank fit that is working for h him using the scram to keep people from catching him as he kites around I'll try to see if I can get the full fit

The Navy Maulus is a better Tristan that can scram kite other frigs outside of their scram range, meaning it can disengage most things as it wants. Basically, fly this. Grr Gallente.

First off I want to say I love the introduction of these new ships.

However it's been pointed out in detail from one of my Corp mates that the Maulus Navy addition is not as OP as many might have thought. Because of its identical power grid slot as the Tristan it makes it really hard to use that extra low slot. In most cases the Tristan is better due to its cheaper price. Yes it be good for gate camps and as anti FW farmer, but other than those two rolls its better to stick with the Tristan.

T3 immune to remote reps. They should be the most powerful solo/small gang ships but not useful for large fleets as T2 ships should be used. Remove Insurance from game. Ban Frigate Pirate Ships from Novice FW Plexs. Buy me Ice cream please!

These ships are designed to use their racial ewar bonuses (primary ewar for Amarr and Caldari, secondary for Gallente and Minmatar) in unusual ways, skewed towards solo and microgang combat. Overall we don't expect these ships to eclipse Electronic Attack Frigates for fleet support roles, but the combination of ewar with significant frigate damage puts them into their own category.

Navy Griffin is pure AIDS.

WUT?

Is that why it has an 85% ECM range penalty?
