New D-Scan preset shortcuts & Custom shortcuts

Hello EVE-Devs,

Issue:
The pre-defined and fixed shortcuts (keys 1 to 0) for selecting d-scan presets interfere with my other shortcuts. Every time I have my focus on my d-scan window and I want to activate a module I change my d-scan setting instead, which isn't even obvious, because the name of the setting is not displayed. Vice versa, when my d-scan window is active and I want to change the preset via shortcut, simultaneously the corresponding module (high-slots) gets activated as well.

As you can imagine, that could end fatal in some situations. There is a similar problem with scanner filters within the scanner Scanner Probes window, but that was not as annoying.

The only workaround I see right now is to be very cautious of which window is activated or remap my already muscle-memorized shortcuts.

Suggestion:
Names of custom presets should be displayed in d-scan preset-selection (as it was before btw).
Default presets (General, PvP, All etc.) should be deletable or at least there should be a possibility to hide them.
Hotkeys for d-scan presets and probe scanner filters should be customizable, or at least deactivatable.

Shortcuts that are only working when a certain window is focused (active) or shortcuts that even overlap with other, customizable shortcuts, is in my opinion a bad idea in general.

Best regards & Thx,

Sola Atruin

Cool

Edit2:
Found in today's patch notes:
- Filter list in Directional Scanner now has a scroll bar will not escape the screen.
- Number input in Range field will no longer cause D-scan filters to be applied.

so you have a suggestion about the game mechanic (after you changed the default setting of the game)
0-9 buttons are "by default" unassigned, and modules are "F1-F8", with modifier for alternative rack, and overloading.

I was going to suggest you switch the key bindings but then I went and look... no option to change the keybings for d-scan or probe filters... neither could I find the keybindings for the refresh scan for that matter. damn

anyway, suggestion for change in game are to be made in the suggestion forum, where you could ask for personnalisation of the keybinding. and I'm sure you'll get lots of approval

the only issue I see here is : you changed the key default module bindings
the only workaround I see : reset keybinding to default
that's how far player help can go...

Thx for your reply!

Actually there is an option to set the shortcut for refreshing d-scan, I have mine set to circumflex.

This is a big problem for me, as someone who uses 1-9 for module hotkeys my d-scan filter changes often during fights. Also, manually changing the d-scan range using the number keys will change the filter setting. Please fix this.

I've been using the number keys to activate modules for years, CCP fix this asap!
