Not to be ungrateful, but is scrooge visiting this year instead of the Yule Lads?

1. "fireworks, snowballs, and the customary array of collectible Christmas trinkets."

2. Gameplay -- special event which is just like the special event we got 6 weeks ago

3. Special offers on PLEX and Aurum, sales in the New Eden Store,
........ Woo Hoo, Santa left a 30% off coupon to Best Buy in my stocking

Seems like something is missing after previous Christmas gifts like: Free Training on secondary characters, special ships like the Leapord, Bonus attribute map. Am I missing something?

With the "rapid decline in numbers" it seems like this is a year when CCP should go out of their way to reward those of us still playing the game.

Wow... Someone has the "wantsies". We don't even know All the rewards from the new serpentis sites yet. How about giving this event and ccp some time. Also, how about being thankful for any free gifts you get? There are a great many games that give nothing at all.

If you're referring to last year, wasn't the 20-day MCT given out just a day or 2 before/after Xmas? Besides, it's better to give then receive...

I wouldn't be to worried about that "Decline turning RAPID!!" thread.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

The Wantsies. Omg that sounds so cute, like perfectly fitting for a young child !

Made me smile. :D

Looks like it was 12/18/2015 for the free multi-character training. In 2104 the Leopard was the special mystery gift that was unveiled on 12/24 I believe.

Operation Frostline sounds like great gameplay, but considering it a gift is like throwing some toys on the floor at a Shelter and saying -- "Fight for them ... Sorry there's not enough for everybody".

Just saying.

P.S. Maybe it's the half of the Season's Greetings devblog dedicated to sales of arum, plex and reactivations that put me in a bah-humbug mood. Ugh

So CCP has no fixed routine!
Thats very evil of them!

Operation Frostline is a seasonal event. Those are quite common in MMOs and nice to see in EvE too.
EvE, Omit and Halloween where a perfect match.

funny, i said i recommend a xmas event with a santa like that from futurama.
Letz see what frostline brings. Maybe even the snowballs you wished for.

We miners have met it perfect:
If we do not have snowballs, we throw iceblocks instead.
Its almost the same.

Hey CCP, read this thread. THIS is why you don't give people free stuff (because when you do, they come to expect more free stuff).

It sounds like there is going to be lots of stuff in the Operation Frostline event, which is neat because the last one went over very well.

It reminds me of the time I fixed a friend's computer for him, he lived quite far away so travelling to meet him cost me a fair bit of time and money, but I never asked for anything in return (what are friends for, after all?) He called me numerous times over the next few months to fix other computer issues for him, but then he started getting stroppy when I told him I was too busy/unavailable. He got so demanding that I almost broke off all communication with him, but thankfully my lessons on how to Google your own computer problems and fix them yourself took hold.

Edit: Hey Sol, and hey Paranoid Loyd, nice to see some familiar faces.

Well, look at that. I've already read the most pathetic thing I'm going to read today, and it isn't even lunch time yet.

No. It moves me to the removed.png ... in two browsers.
It's more likely YOUR browser using a cached variant.

Check. :P
