December release - Issues thread

The tool gives you the option to download the missing files, (surprised the game even ran without them tbh), but after setting this going I returned a little over four hours later to find it had stalled at 751 although still indicated it was downloading, Left it overnight, next morning it had managed to add three more files.

In the end I dumped EVE and downloaded a fresh copy, ran it, same extended black screens, Ran the tool again similar results, hundreds of missing files. gave up.

Just ran the tool again today out of interest, same result, hundreds of missing files reported and the download is so abysmally slow it would appear that CCP have inserted this BLACK SCREEN PERIOD AS A PERMANENT FEATURE, or more than likely the tool is borked and they don't care to fix it, ....To busy selling skins I would offer a guess or breaking other stuff.

It gets better. The Repair Tool with a fresh download is bugged out. Instead of replacing it with the proper one in the download, you get to hunt it down, DL it seperately, delete the bugged one, and put in place the correct one.

With the CCP Approved (TM) Repair tool, the Rescache.exe, and I do not find any missing or corrupt files. I avoided the giant hesitation/lag from the Download on Demand and just downloaded all the files. (that setting is in the Launcher option tabs) With a Shiny New Release coming at us tomorrow I'm really hoping my ongoing bug complaints will be fixed in the big patch. Then it'll be QT the NEW bugs for a game I pay to play on.

I flat out refuse to buy more Aurum or Plex to get shiny ship skins until the bugs & issues are taken care of, and promises given are followed through on.
