It's visual feedback. I'd very much like to know if someone has shield/armor hardeners active before I engage them. However I also understand that the new hardener effect probably wasn't meant to be looping in the first place. Sooooo change the effect to be less wavy perhaps?

I just wanted to say that PvP Ship Kill Marks is brilliant. It's by far the best thing you've added to the game in years. I actually thought my friend was pulling my leg when he told me about it.
