Ok, I'll have to second many people here for the overbrighten stars in space + the new solar scan map.

Then again, visually related to this release - while downloading each patch, I would usually browse the eve updates website for the 'latest release'. And I've have been through this site for many of the previous patches. Yet this timeI'll have to say that some (if not most) of the images lack the visual details eve online used to provide. The 'Introducing New Destroyers', though I understand what was intended, I must say it looks like looks like last minute work done on microsoft paint. And visually obvious, when you have to show off a darken hull ship (eg. navy frigs), you don't pick dark background What?

Take no offense of my critics. I love this game and try to bring in new ppl therein. I'd just hate for low level visuals to be their 1st impression of eve online, specially on a festive december.

Afterburner / Microwarp and warp sounds are really dull now. They lack the oompf of a space ship, now it sounds like a scooter in space.

Hello,

Some feedback without any real order. I doubt you will read, but still :

The Brightness option is awesome, really. One problem, it doesn't work in station or at least it don't show any effect instantly (because I don't have the "Load environment" option on ?) . You have to undock to make it work.

And still, the UI isn't concerned by this option and so the UI is still too dark to be usable, and I am seriously tired to have to double-check where is the fuc... scrollbar/button/whatever I want to interact. When there will be some bright themes or the old RGB sliders ?

The engine effect is... meh, with low shaders in fact. In medium, it does look great. But in low, it is worse than the previous effect (I play in low to spare ressources for others games while autopilot or any reasons).

I don't understand something about the Shield Power Relay tiericide. For me, it looks like the Type-D Restrained Shield Power Relay is the best one. Ok, the T2 version give 3% more shield recharge, but cost +15% in capacitor recharge decrease so depending of the ship, it will be best to sacrifice the 3% shield recharge.

It is worse with the Shield Flux Coil. According to the spreadsheet, the Mark I Compact Shield Flux Coil cost -5 CPU but only -1% less recharge than the T2. Most of the time, there should be enough CPU in the ship to get this 1% bonus, but still, it doesn't really make the T2 appealing. Maybe a small boost is required for the T2 version ?

Oh and thanks for the "Mark my orders" selected by default. I didn't know that this option was here, and it will be really useful.

Not sure if it was done prior to the patch or is in the patch notes, but ISIS has now been renamed "Ship Tree".

Was this a political correctness thing? The name made contextual sense previously... Interbus Ship Identification System. Why can't we see it anymore?

What was the point of flipping the map? Just to fuk with folk? Another change for change's sake?

Also being able to see folk 4000k from you just the same as if they were 250k or even right next to you is just lame. If the grid had to be increased then a mechanism should have been introduced that changed the visibility of ships the farther they were away from one another - with factors influencing the visibility including ship size and perhaps electronic signature.

I don't play, I just fourm warrior.

Is the shield hardener effect intended to display just once on activation? That's kind of disappointing. The armor hardener effect displays continuously.

Ugh!

I bought Unstable power flux... thoses, because they were the best. Bought it at a price because it was the best...
now the names were changed and they are third best! Third!! This means that I have to change ALL my damn fits and effectively have to pay AGAIN for the better module. At least they could have kept it second.
You break too many things trying to fix 'stuff'... you take our nice toys for which we pay $$ and hours and break them... not nice CCP!!

EDIT:..oh and all my fekking bookmarks? I have hundreds over 18 chars... you could at least havemoved the gate bm's to just off grid. Now I must go and re-do all of them!! I am angry!

Question:

Why has the Command Destroyer Skill a x6 Multiplier?
Thats the Multiplier for T2-Cruiser, not for T2-Destroyer.
Interdictors, for example, has a x5 Multiplier, which feels right.
So the Command Destroyer Skill seems out of line.
Any Statements for this?

After years of just looking I am finally fed up enough to actually complain.

Minmatar space looks ugly.
Ugly.
UGLY.

It's a horror to look at.
The colors are ugly and cause unpleasant feelings.
It's no fun to look at it!

THERE IS COLOUR BANDING AND COMPRESSION ARTEFACTS !
http://imgur.com/a/Pt8Jw

Have a look at it. Click the images.
I even MARKED IT for you to see.

It is completely useless to attempt to make it look prettier when the base is just horrible.

Do you notice the blocki edges in high contrast areas?
Do you?
I do !

I use a 15.6" 1920x1080 display.
It's ugly.
Absolutely and outright DISGUSTING and I hate it!

Next are the colours.
They aren't right.
They don't fit.
They look cartoony.

My thrasher looks less realistic than the new (great!) thruster effects.
THE THRUSTER EFFECTS LOOK FAR MORE REALISTIC THAN MY SHIP !

Lighting with the minmatar nebulae is just not working.
It's too toony.
Colourfull.
Blocky!
Banded!
Wrong!

It feels DISGUSTING to fly around in minmatar space !

It is BEYOND fixable! There is nothing you can do, because it needs to be changed completely!
It is too bright, the colours are horrible (ever heard of colour psychology ??), it looks fake.

It made me log out, because it ******* disgusts me !

Wah, so sick of this ...

All good and nice there, I agree, but the quality of the effect is awefull!
It's not at all eye-catchy to see washed out blocky gradients on high end system with graphics pusshed to the max. Is it?
It feels that the effect was "rushed"...

I have only seen the Domain nebula (from different angles) and Tenerifis nebula so far and they look fine without gradients on texture quality set to high.

This is an issue since the introduction of the new map. STOP. USING. THE. NEW. MAP! Complaining about it does not help, only if no one uses this useless piece of software, CCP will stop developing it...

  • The new armor procedural damage effect on armor / shield is absolutely amazing and very important upgrade for EVE. Thank you! Big smile I especially love the attention to detail, where you can see your crispy spaceship with all the circuit electrical thingies under the armor. Also I love the hull damage effects where your lights start to blink!! Wooo Big smile Also thank you it is possible to see the same effects on NPCs, very cool.

  • Effects for armor repairing / shield boostering are also amazingly looking.

  • The new nebula 3D effects are awesome and they really make you feel you are inside the specific region!

  • Really like the little detail of the blue-ish thingy when you / someone else jump off your system.

  • Tracking computer graphical effects are nice, but little too small. I think they you could be bigger!

  • Space dust on my spaceships I don't see it yet! I guess the dust is added after each downtime starting yestarday? I was playing with my spacehips all day long but they are all clean and shiny Smile

  • The Nugoeihuvi skin has been changed from dark red & black spots to dark red only and it doesn't look that good anymore Sad Was it an intented change?

  • Really like the supercool image in character selection screen.

  • New thursters effects are awesome! They are generally only blue-ish I believe, so with Vargur for example the butt switches from yellow to blue and back to yellow when warping / exit warping. Not sure if that is intended? Also you could add a thingy that when you are too close with boosters to your camera drone it actually burns it away? Big smile Or add a temperary black-out in a specific area.

  • New DSCAN thingy is looking awesome and fancy, but the new solar map is laggy for me and slowish. Also the new map is somewhat laggish. And it was also even potatoed for me as it showed me I was in null, while I was in hisec! The old map is also swinged by 90°, but it actually made the universe feel more alive, lol. Keep it? Big smile

  • Ship tree renamed to Ship tree is a good call, thank you Smile

That was not a good call at all. The new denomination is generic, unimaginative and takes away from the EVE flavor. And it has no logical or reasonable justification.

This is Isis, and this (student system of the TU Berlin) or this (student orientation system of the John Hopkins University). The latter two are way more important and influential than puny CCP and they do not rename their Isis system because the acronym represents what the Egyptian goddess stands for and for education, advancement, teaching and human drive for science and discovery, as well as for taking in new people and educate them to become productive, intelligent, mature members or the society. This is what Isis also stands for in EVE. Renaming it has thus no logical justification.

The the new background to the character selection screen looks like it's been knocked together by a five year old using MS Paint.

Seriously ?

It's ferking awful.

feedback?

- missing items (no big deal)

- camera wont stay zoomed out when docking/undocking. (only a real issue when doing a lot of docking/undocking)

- space looks absolutely horrible now, all blurry and wishy washy. (this IS a problem imo.)

- sounds are no longer relative on distance (big problem as its a PITA hearing cloaking/gate sounds as though you are on top of whatever the noise is coming from).

- map upside down (meh, just a PITA having to flatten/unflatten it every time.)

Conclusion? as most of the problems listed above would be noticed within less than 5 minutes of any testing been carried out, QA department needs a kick up the ass.

What QA department ?

The patch broke shift clicking to open hangars in space. I used to be able to shift click my ore hold to open it in a new window, the menu even tells you to do it when you right click, but it doesn't work. It still works when docked, but never when undocked. Annoying having to do the extra clicks now.

Today's patch looks like it removed the throttling limit on dscan? Or at least you're queueing the commands now instead of discarding them.

Can i ask where the scroll menu has gone for D-scan filter?

I have nearly 40 different presets and can no longer select over half of them. This is extremely annoying as i can no longer use my default overview settings on my d-scanner once i changed it to test

Please, please change this. The idea of having a pop up list is a good one. But a lot of dedicated probers have more than 30 presets, the upper ones not being accessible now.

This is a bug, not an intentional change. It has now been fixed internally and should be with you before the end of the week.
